📢 SDA is pleased to announce the results of the 2026 SDA election. Congratulations to President-Elect David Warner and new Board of Director members Jenifer Bratter and James “Kent” Pugh!
SDA President-Elect Warner is Professor of Sociology at @UABSociology and Co-Director of the Southern Population Aging Research Center (SPARC). His term as the 53rd SDA President will begin in 2028.
SDA members elected two Board of Directors members, who will serve three-year terms from 2027-29. Jenifer Bratter is Prof of Sociology and Chair at @RiceSociology. James “Kent” Pugh is a Senior Researcher at the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the Univ of Virginia.
