Why tankless dive gear?
We built our world assuming air would always be there.
But in smoke, in toxic leaks, underwater, at altitude -
breathing becomes constrained.
It depends on tanks and their logistics.
And tanks run out, causing losses.
We are changing that.
Not carrying oxygen - but making it.

We presented @DAIVIN_TECH at Y Combinator's Startup Industrial Base Summit in Washington, D.C and highlighted the importance of breathing technologies in the future, to save more lives!
We also emphasiszed on why oxygen generated from water, at the point of need, instead of cylinders is the future.
We thank @ycombinator for the invitation and support.

More than 300,000 people have already been evacuated as wildfires spread across Spain and France.
The smoke however doesn’t get talked about as much.
Every wildfire is a serious respiratory emergency - especially for kids and firefighters.
As these events become more frequent, breathing technology stops being a niche equipment and a mandatory appliance in every home.
Breathing equiment are the next critical infrastructure and we are soon unveiling the one that will save people in times of distress - without heavy tanks!

We're working on ways to make oxygen on Mars – for rocket fuel & for breathing. How? By using dirt.

Oxygen is essential at those heights but hauling the tanks there is a headache…
Most people think oxygen is the limit and the danger
It isn’t.
Nitrogen bubbles are.
Decompression sickness has shaped diving for over a century and limits plane flights for 48hrs + in some cases.
Our technology will rewrite these rules forever.
The future of diving won’t just be smaller gear.
It will be better breathing chemistry.

We're organizing YC-themed event in Helsinki w/
@voutilainen_xyz, but this time with a twist...
YC has always loved founders with deep technical and domain expertise. And Finland has a ridiculous amount of technical and scientific talent. So now, we want to bring those worlds closer together: academics, researchers, PhDs, engineers, and more.
We've got two local @ycombinator alumni sharing their experiences:
1. Rami El Geneidy (PhD) from Kapacity.io (S21)
2. @SE4LION from @DAIVIN_TECH (W26)
If you're pushing for a scientific or engineering breakthrough, this night will give you the insider view on how YC turns you into formidable founder.

Grateful to be featured in Helsingin Sanomat as one of the five Finnish teams accepted to Y Combinator in 2026!
At DAIVIN! (YC W26) we’re building technology that extracts oxygen from water for breath autonomy in extreme environments. Being part of YC has been a massive accelerator.
Thank you HS Visio for the coverage!

A single glass of water holds about 20 hours of breathing
@se4lion is building the gear that pulls it out
Tankless diving technology that generates breathable oxygen directly from water.
It sounds impossible at first. Then you hear the physics..
Then you realize the implications stretch far past diving
Water is hydrogen and oxygen. Apply a DC current, swing away the electrons binding them, and you get the purest form of breathable gas.
The idea started with a simple frustration
Leo is an electrical engineer and a diver. Every dive exposed the same limits: Bulky tanks, Logistics, Safety risks, Cost, and Operational complexity.
Instead of accepting those constraints, he asked a question: Is there any way we could breathe like a fish?
That sent him down a rabbit hole into electrolysis
If water already contains oxygen, why haul tanks at all?
Why not generate breathable oxygen exactly where and when it's needed?
Enter @DAIVIN_TECH - Tankless dive gear that generates oxygen directly from the water around you. No tanks to haul, fill, or run out of.
But diving is just the wedge
Anywhere breathing depends on a tank, the tank sets the limit.
Crisis zones. High altitude rescue. Anywhere time is human lives.
Generate the oxygen on site, and there's no supply chain to depend on.

Thoughts from Eurosatory this week 🇫🇷
In real CBRN situations, the difference between coming home and becoming a casualty often comes down to absurdly small margins: 3-5 mg of the wrong agent, an 8-micron seal failure, or running just 4-7 minutes past a filter’s actual limit.
User can go unconscious in 11 minutes from filter saturation, and a hazmat technician suffer permanent lung damage from one tiny gasket leak.
Yet most systems out there are already running at 80-90% of their real limits while the threats keep getting deadlier.
The margin isn’t thin anymore.
It’s basically gone.
This is exactly why we’re building the next generation at @DAIVIN_TECH

There is a group of divers that most have never heard about -
Nuclear divers
Underwater welding
Critical infrastructure beneath the surface
In extreme environments, breathing stops being automatic.
It becomes infrastructure itself.
