شاهزاده رضا پهلوی در نشستی با کارشناسان حوزه انرژی و اقتصاد «پروژه شکوفایی ایران»، آخرین وضعیت بحران سوخت در کشور، ریشه‌های آن و سناریوهای پیش روی مردم ایران را بررسی کردند.
در این نشست، کارشناسان درباره فساد و قاچاق سازمان‌یافته سوخت، فرسودگی زیرساخت‌های انرژی، پیامدهای اقتصادی افزایش قیمت و طرح‌های احتمالی جمهوری اسلامی برای سهمیه‌بندی و آزادسازی قیمت سوخت گفت‌وگو کردند. همچنین تأکید شد که جنگ، مشکلات ساختاری اقتصاد و انرژی ایران را ایجاد نکرده، بلکه ضعف‌هایی را که طی دهه‌ها انباشته شده، آشکارتر و عمیق‌تر کرده است.
بخش دیگری از گفت‌وگو به راهکارهای آینده اختصاص داشت، از چگونگی مدیریت بحران و کاهش فشار بر مردم تا نوسازی پالایشگاه‌ها و زیرساخت‌های فرسوده و ایجاد یک نظام پایدار و کارآمد انرژی در ایران پس از جمهوری اسلامی.
