Stumbled upon a handy wee tip to clean up your 'For You' feed. Choose the "copy link" option (found in the wee up arrow icon, bottom right) for the posts you actually want to see. I did it with a stack of bird posts and refreshed my 'For You' feed which is now full of bird posts!
STONEFACTION BIRDING: 1588 : The Long Look (7/10/26) stonefactionbirding2014.blog…
Back to Riverside Nature Park to try to find the White-rumped Sandpiper I'd found in the previous day's photos...
Waiting for a parcel from Japan. Tracked at Parcelforce hub in Coventry last Thursday morning. Checked tracking late Friday night - showed as Edinburgh. Saturday, location was Coventry again. Hasn't moved since - no notifications from RM/Parcelforce. Will it (ever) turn up?😡
Have to get train on thurs but unsure what time (choice of 3). Checked Scotrail website for suitable ticket for ANY train(s) that day. Bought 1 & chose earliest of 3 trains. Far from clear if ticket IS valid on later trains, as per website. I just want to travel when I want to.🫤
Have emailed Customer Service and just had automated reply to say they'll review the email within 20 days!! Why is everything so ******* difficult these days. Used to be possible to buy a ticket for a particular day & jump on any train (on that route).
For a LOT of years I've sung a long with the line "From Sunset Boulevard to Chateaulait.." in the Love & Money song "Up Escalator" and never realised that Chateaulait was Castlemilk (where L&M were from). Only when seen spelt out, did I make the connection. 😄
How I found out...

Not walking miles for the benefit of the local ‘Waxwerrazzi’ this year. If I find some Waxwings, I will put out word but as they are on my list already, I think I’ll let them spend hours (and miles) looking for their social media likes themselves. Perfect conditions to find some.
I suspect this weekend may have lots of photogenic skies, so here’s another one (from my living room window).
STONEFACTION BIRDING: 1587 : Plenty To See (And Not!) (6/10/26) stonefactionbirding2014.blog…
Lots to see at Riverside Nature Park (and one I missed!).
14 mile walk for VERY little return today. Less than 100 photos taken with the Shoveler at Swannie Ponds the nearest thing to 'interesting'.
STONEFACTION BIRDING: 1586 : Barnie Trouble? (4/10/26) stonefactionbirding2014.blog…
Would it prove tricky to get Barnacle Goose for my #2026Dundee150 list?
The main highlights of this afternoon's outer Tay-watching as the storm picked up. 10 Barnacle Geese, Red-throated Diver, 1w Gannet & Little Gull.
