How would your animal answer these questions? Get inspired by the interview, written by the authors of this @J_Exp_Biol article advocating for rethinking behavioral research design.

This article was so much fun to write with my colleagues from @KITP_UCSB. It resonates strongly with my group's philosophy on how we do nematode behaviour research @MPI_animalbehav and @CBehav--by seeing our classic lab model organism🪱 as a real animal in the natural world 🌍
"Umm….hi…I’m C.elegans. I’m a nematode, I love hanging out in rotting fruits. You could say I’m a picky eater: I stick to my preferred bacteria."
From @SSerenaDing et al, a set of 10 questions to help you fall in ❤️ with your animal (for science) 1/2

Did you know that when many many worms come together they do funky things like building towers🗼and forming waves🌊?
📢Our nematode collective behavior group is looking for an evolution postdoc🧬, a quantitative PhD💻, and a superstar technician🌟. See serenadinglab.com/join-us

Excited to share 2 postdoc positions in my lab! Are you interested in studying the neuropeptidergic connectome and behavior in C. elegans? Check out these positions: bit.ly/3oZGWaU, bit.ly/3Pi0AcW. Feel free to contact me at #Worm23, and please RT! @ERC_Research
Holy smokes worm acrobatics!
Microscopic worms use electric fields to “jump” onto naturally charged bumblebee chauffeurs.

We are going to #Worm23🪱as a lab for the first time! Come meet us and learn everything about worm collectives, from simple and mixed aggregates 🧶(posters 824B + 862B) to towers 🗼(poster 736A) and wurmurations 🌊(what's that? find out at poster 728A). See you in Glasgow!
A truly beautiful piece on @DaniPerezBio's recent @AvHStiftung fellowship 🏅to study worm towers with me @MPI_animalbehav. Worms tower, worms rock! We'll be at #Worm23 in Glasgow with this work in June, come meet us and see some fun videos! 🪱ab.mpg.de/532747/an-eye-for-…

Some weird-looking worm pharynx out there this Halloween season, what a tracking nightmare @aexbrown @Monika_K_Scholz 🪱
I worked with Andre for five years as a postdoc and continue to learn from him as a scientist and as a person. I cannot recommend his lab highly enough, go apply!
Help us expand the neuroactive pharmacopoeia while getting a PhD. Learn about synthetic biology, high-throughout imaging, natural products, and some machine learning.

Really cool story @MeitalOren, congratulations! 👏
New paper alert! @EladSchneidman summarized it best 👇🏼, we use modeling to predict critical synaptic connections in a neuronal circuit, and than rewire them to change behavior. Very proud of @LadaPechuk and @gal_goldman for leading this cool project!
I had the true pleasure of hearing this story told by @UCSB_OakleyLab himself recently whilst at @KITP_UCSB. Such a fascinating collective phenomenon in a basal animal species, combining two of my favourite things! In the dreamy glowing Caribbean at that, what’s not to love!
One of my favorite things about studying these amazing creatures is telling the world about them. This article goes a long way toward capturing the wonder and awe! science.org/content/article/…
A few highlights from my past five weeks at #neuroloco22 @KITP_UCSB: debuting my lab and our research to North America👩🏫, making new and inspiring connections💡, sharing yoga for stronger body and mind🧘🏻♀️, and eating endless tacos🌮. I’m so grateful for the experience, thanks all!
