James Gunn's "formula" was born during MCU heyday Lighting in a bottle universe where people were IMPELLED to be there day one for frickin ANTMAN, for example those days are over Obscurity only works in animation, limited series or low budget films James Gunn has already failed forcing an over-budget supergirl film out & is doubling down with even MORE OBSCURE projects going fwd
CINESOURCE (@Real_CineSource) profile pictureCINESOURCE@Real_CineSourceJul 2
So true!! James Gunn is a director that’s like’s C list characters but general audiences want to see mainstream characters!! This is why his DCU will fail!

According to Bloomberg, several of the lead developers behind Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League said the game flopped so hard and had such a deep personal impact that it made them not want to make games anymore. After the game launched to terrible reviews and weak sales in 2024, Warner Bros. confirmed it took a roughly $200 million hit from the title, making it one of the company’s biggest gaming failures.

It’s kind of funny seeing people dog Supergirl and using this as proof that WB should bring back the “Snyderverse”, and yet, look at the critical scores between Supergirl and Man of Steel. This is literally the “it’s the same picture” meme. 🤣 Your move, Snyder bros. 😏

I see several Gunn fans claiming SALVATION is the overarching storyline for dcu That was just shoehorned into the end of a terrible peacemaker season finale just like CHECKMATE was There were zero plans that preceded it or followed up on it These are just Easter eggs ZERO OVERARCHING STORYLINE

Jennifer Holland says she gave James Gunn notes on his scripts for season 2 of Peacemaker that made him scrap the first drafts and start over: “That’s when he came up with the story of season 2 that we have now, that’s really grounded in the relationships.”

Neither of those things is the reason why #supergirl failed
Bloomberg (@business) profile pictureBloomberg
@businessJul 3
Critics explaining why "Supergirl" failed are conflating superhero fatigue with a lack of interest in female-led blockbusters, writes @HKSurrey. That sends the wrong message to Hollywood (via @opinion) bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

The ‘Supergirl’ Flop Is Being Misread

Contrary to its title character, Supergirl did not take flight. The film grossed $38 million domestically in its opening weekend, less than one-third of what Superman earned in its debut last summer...

This is NOT Helen it’s her sister Clytemnestra. In order for the Greeks to sail to Troy Agamemnon had to sacrifice their daughter to the gods. This shot is from that scene. Using the same actress for both characters is just Nolan’s way of milking the virtue signal/getting clicks

Superman and comic books writer, Dan Jurgen, thinks Man of Steel is incredible. He also loves Zack Snyders vision for DC and can't wait to see where he goes. Unfortunately WB has zero vision for DC. Hopefully @ParamountPics won't ignore the fans... #RestoreTheSnyderVerse

Batman & Robin didn’t ruin Nolan’s trilogy Superman Returns didn’t ruin Man of Steel Spider-Man 3 didn’t ruin TASM X-Men Origins didn’t ruin Deadpool In no world did a Batman movie from 2016 ruin the DCU’s Supergirl movie
