This post and the responses to it remind me so much of why I don't like seeing "indie" as a whole genre. Because these are two entirely different shows with different ideas but they are being matched up against each other because they are "indie".

Crazy to think how prevalent AI is in education nowadays 🙃

" indie/small studio underpay and overwork their animaters!" So does every animation studio
Remember when spiderverse came out and it came out all their animators were barely payed and overworked?
Its horrible. Artists deserve proper pay, but this is an industry issue.

I don’t like the show personally
But hating it so much to cause an innocent person’s suicide is disgusting.
this person is dead because of actual jackasses online doxxing her.
May those who aided in this bullshit rot in hell.
I was just DMed today that apparently the girl who got doxxed by posting Brandon apology had taken her own life
@vivziereceipts you have blood on your hands, your fans doxxed a person and now they are a factor as to why they are dead

Okay somebody needs to lawyer up so YouTubers that have gone through shit like this can get justice.
We are not just YouTube channels. We are HUMAN BEINGS!!!
And I need someone at @TeamYouTube to understand what this experience is doing to creators.
You have no idea how much damage these decisions can cause to the people behind your platform.
Creators go to sleep wondering how they will pay their bills after suddenly losing their income. They spend months waiting, hoping someone will finally take a genuine look at their case. They watch years of hard work and dedication lose their value because of a decision they believe is completely wrong.
And how many creators are still holding onto hope that someone at YouTube will actually listen?
@TeamYouTube I want to explain what has happened to my channel:
My channel has been demonetized for "Misleading Family Content." over 3 months ago. I appealed, and my appeal was rejected.
I contacted Creator Support. I explained my situation repeatedly. I provided an appeal video specifically explaining why my content does not fall under this classification. I asked YouTube to actually watch it and consider the context of my content.
But I was repeatedly told to wait 90 days and reapply.
So I did exactly that.
I waited the required 90 days.
I removed 95% OF MY CONTENT.
I made significant changes to my channel, carefully reviewed what remained, and did everything I could to address the concerns behind the demonetization.
When I finally reapplied to the YouTube Partner Program, I was REJECTED AGAIN for the same reason.
There are now ONLY 4 VIDEOS left on my channel.
Four videos.
After deleting almost my entire body of work, making significant changes, and following the instructions YouTube gave me, I am still facing the exact same decision.
So I have to ask:
What exactly am I supposed to do now?
Delete the remaining four videos? Delete seven years of work? Start over completely?
How can creators be expected to fix a problem when they aren't given a clear explanation of what is actually wrong?
This is not simply about losing monetization.
Behind my channel are 7 years of work, thousands of hours of effort, an audience, financial commitments, and a livelihood.
And I know I am not alone.
There are more than 29 animation channels facing similar demonetization issues under the same "Misleading Family Content" classification.
Animation does NOT automatically mean children's content.
Fictional characters do NOT automatically make something family content.
We understand that YouTube needs policies to protect its audience.
WE ARE ASKING FOR FAIRNESS.
We are asking for transparency.
We are asking for accountability.
And most importantly, we are asking for genuine HUMAN REVIEWS.
Automated systems can make mistakes. Classifications can be incorrect. Appeals can fail to capture the context of a creator's content.
But there must be a meaningful way for creators to have these decisions reconsidered.
I have already appealed. I have already provided evidence. I have already contacted support. I have already waited 90 days. I have removed 95% of my content. I have made significant changes. I reapplied.
WHAT MORE AM I SUPPOSED TO DO TO GET SOMEONE TO ACTUALLY LISTEN?
@TeamYouTube @YouTube @YouTubeCreators
Please don't send me another automated response telling me to reapply after 90 days.
Please don't simply refer me back to the same policy explanation.
I am asking you to look at my channel, watch my appeal video, understand the context, and have someone who genuinely understands the policy review this case.
I don't want to fight YouTube. I want to continue creating on YouTube.
I have spent 7 years building something I care deeply about. I don't want to see it destroyed because nobody is willing to take another look.
BEHIND EVERY CHANNEL IS A HUMAN BEING.
And that human being deserves to be heard.
✊ WE ARE STILL HERE. AND WE ARE NOT GIVING UP.
I really dislike arguments like this.
Your personal experiences inherently shape you as a person and the way you perceive things. It shapes your opinion on things one way or the other.
People will relate their experiences to what they watch. That's normal. That's being a human
