There are zero predicates for this cycle.
No president in modern times has run with midterms in non-concurrent terms. No party has ever been as wildly to the left as DSA-impacted Democrats. Never been a cycle where two most prominent candidate —Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI Senate) and James Talarico (D-TX Senate)— have been radicals. Never been a race where next three most prominent Democrats —Troy Jackson (D-ME Senate), Peggy Flanagan (D-MN Senate) and Chris Pappas (D-NH Senate) have been DSA or DSA-adjacent. Never been a cycle with this great of a cash advantage for GOP.
Never been a better president to turn out his base than President Trump. And there’s never been a cycle with primary polling results as off as this year and as much social media as 2026.
So, no, we don’t know what is going to happen. But GOP is not panicked and an October surprise could very easily add even another variable.
Nobody knows. It’s that simple. So the candidates are all going to run through the tape. And as @TGowdySC told me on @GowdyAmerica last night,

POLL: 55% of registered voters view the Democratic Socialists of America unfavorably — and Republicans are betting that number can reshape the midterms.
The Fox News national poll found only three in ten voters see the DSA in a positive light, giving the GOP fresh ammunition as they try to flip what's normally a referendum on the party in power into a choice election. President Trump has gone further, calling the progressive surge in Democratic primaries a "communist" takeover, while House Speaker Mike Johnson frames it as "common sense candidates vs. crazy."
Democrats counter that inflation, not ideology, will decide the midterms. But even some moderate Democrats are sounding alarms — Moderate PAC founder Ty Strong called the GOP strategy "a big problem" that could blunt what should be a Democratic wave.

A couple points on the new weather attribution report from the National Academy of Sciences:
1. Weather attribution is fraud, not science. If climate hoaxers understood climate in a scientific manner, they could predict weather and climate with certainty. But they can't and don't. Instead, they make up unverifiable tales about past weather.
2. The National Academy of Sciences is essentially a left-wing activist group and has been for about 70 years. I don't know why the Trump administration has not yet defunded it.
