فارسی را نه آن ملای کندهاری که لباس جنرال به تن کرده است ونه ان لسانسه دانشگاه کابل که خودرا پروفسیورخطاب می‌کند نمی توانند تضعیف کنند بلکه دشمن اصلی زبان فارسی آن ملاها وروشن فکران ایران وافغانستان است که گنجانیدن کلمات عربی وانگلیسی دربین زبان فارسی را برتری علمی میدانند.
شبنم نسیمی، نویسنده و روزنامه‌نگار، در واکنش به اظهارات لطیف‌الله حکیمی، مقام وزارت دفاع طالبان، که پشتو را «تنها زبان ملی افغانستان» خوانده بود، این ادعا را با استناد به تاریخ زبان و نظام اداری افغانستان به چالش کشیده است.
خانم نسیمی می‌گوید از سکه‌های دوره احمدشاه درانی تا نخستین اسکناس‌های دوره امان‌الله خان، فارسی حضور رسمی داشته است. به گفته او، تا پیش از سال ۱۹۳۶ نیز بخش بزرگی از مکاتبات دولتی، فرمان‌های سلطنتی، اسناد مالیاتی و احکام محاکم به فارسی نوشته می‌شد.
او همچنین به فرمان سال ۱۹۳۷ در دوره ظاهرشاه اشاره می‌کند که به روایت او، فارسی را زبان رایج میان مردم و زبان آموزش و نگارش در افغانستان توصیف کرده بود.

Thanks @Researchirel for the New Foundations grant. @SalimSaay @UL and me @DCU_Research are collaborating on the DiSSENT project and held an expert panel @mict_intl in Berlin in March to discuss digital security for journalists working in exile. Watch this space for more soon.
Research Ireland has announced funding for 59 projects under its New Foundations programme.
These awards will support researchers in developing collaborative projects with community organisations and government departments.
