Six members of our staff from Theatres, Catering, Orthopaedics and Gynaecology represented #TeamSalisbury in last weekend's Exercise Medical Endeavour.
A military training exercise that brings NHS and military together for challenges and team-building activities designed to foster collaboration and skill development. One staff member said, “It was an amazing weekend, so much fun. Squelchy feet are inevitable with Okehampton, Devon weather.”
There was also a sprinkling of competition with teams from several #NHS Trusts competing against each other to complete the challenges. Thanks to @WRFCA for their expert organisation and congratulations to all those who took part.

Our Trust is committed to the professional development of our #Nurses and #Midwives, and earlier this year, signed up to be a member of the Florence Nightingale Foundation (FNF). Through the FNF Academy, our staff become part of a growing community of Nurses and Midwives committed to leadership, learning, and lasting impact.
Champi Dona, Surgery Divisional Deputy Director of Nursing, graduated as a FNF Scholar in 2025. As a Star Alumni, she has written a blog sharing the impact the scholarship and FNF have had on her leadership journey. Read her blog here: tinyurl.com/4zejkatt

Well done to our Rising Star of the Year, Katie Webber, Children's Respiratory Nurse Specialist ✨. Since joining the Children’s Respiratory Team last year, Katie has transformed asthma care for children and young people through her exceptional clinical expertise, compassion and leadership.
By reducing waiting times, improving family support and communication, she has helped countless young patients see an inhaler in their pocket as support rather than a burden, enabling them to enjoy their childhood to the fullest.
There are works underway at our hospital which requires a crane onsite in the area of Rowlands Pharmacy. While this work continues, for the next two weeks, its entrance will be closed, and customers will be redirected to the Stour Unit, also on Level 3, to visit the pharmacy 💊🧑🔬
