The entire pool - nets/papers/AP - should decline to cover the Trump campaign if the campaign insists on barring pool reporters. I'm totally serious. If the campaign doesn't want coverage, they shouldn't get coverage. It's not a right and they don't get to unilaterally dictate.
#Break: I’m told the Trump campaign barred today’s press pooler, NBC’s @VaughnHillyard, from traveling with the former president today in retribution for a recent interview in which Hillyard had pressed Rep. Stefanik to comment on E. Jean Carroll accusations against Trump.
The campaign *especially* shouldn't get to dictate coverage decisions regarding an interview that wasn't with anyone on the campaign! This is dangerous, dangerous stuff and the pool news orgs need to take this incredibly seriously.

This is jaw dropping news. I've covered the Pentagon since around the Thomas Jefferson administration and I've NEVER heard of a top Pentagon leader disappearing like this into a hospital for an entire week without disclosing it to the public.

The same mayor who talks about his New York attitude when criticized takes a very sensitive approach when it comes to the press. A New York attitude goes both ways — and the administration just looks so thin skinned as mayor attacks individual reporters for doing their jobs
“Some of you are very mean to this administration,” @NYCMayor says when asked if DM Banks could have used more decorum when speaking w reporters. Banks — who is only deputy mayor not at off topic Tuesday — was angered as a reporter tried to ask questions, calling it “clown hour”
