You can still have nation-specific work based on local needs. But that doesnโ€™t prevent a singular overall body that handles commercial, strategy, pathway creation and all back office, removing all the needless duplication while still allowing each nation to justify SC funding

I was there at that game - think it has to rate in one of my favourite ever basketball moments. The atmosphere was incredible in there, all behind a GB-team. Really eye-opening for what could be.
Hoopsfix Elite vs California Basketball Club in โ€˜22 might be all-time peak Hoopsfix - it reframed so many things in my mindโ€ฆhopefully will be supplanted by bigger & better moments in the future ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ€

The most dangerous addiction today isn't a substance. Research on 100,000 people confirms that heavy short-form video use is just voluntary cognitive decline. We are actively training our brains to fail at hard tasks. If you can simply sit with a problem for 10 minutes without swiping, you have a massive competitive advantage. Basically, boredom is the new IQ.

๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’ญ Finnish Basketball is one of THE great underdog stories.Their population is a standard deviation away from being unmeasurable against the rest of the world and basketball isnโ€™t even the 2nd most popular sport in Finland. A Eurobasket medal game is a crazy achievement!
From not qualifying for EuroBasket to being a top four team in Europe in a span of 16 years. ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Finland and Susijengi is a basketball revolution. fiba.basketball/en/events/fiโ€ฆ

The iconic Brighton Beach court was given a glamorous renovation thanks to @SamNeter and the @HoopsfixFdn along with @BrightonHoveCC. In two years a tired, faded court was transformed with goals of future tournaments being held there. basketballengland.co.uk/newsโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ“ธ: Kai Johnson.

What are the odds that the best possible content you could be consuming has been produced in the last 24 hours?
The design of the Internet has us only consuming content that was created in the past 24 hours. Weโ€™re like little hamsters on the wheel, scrolling and scrolling to keep up with an endlessly unfolding feed of content that moves faster than we can. Itโ€™s a tragedy, I think. It didnโ€™t need to be this way. The Internet couldโ€™ve led us to the greatest ideas of all time. The ones theyโ€™ve shaped history and stood the test of time. But instead, it traps us in a Never Ending Now.

I think home court advantage is about 4-6 points. Would give the top seed a better chance of winning, so one down side would be fewer upsets (which I think makes for great viewing) Not sure if thatโ€™s enough to counterbalance getting more fans in the venue to watch tho

Iโ€™d suggest the execution more than the principle seems to be the problem. NBPC isnโ€™t a great venue in terms of feeling special and it isnโ€™t sold as an event. Obv seeding would only ever apply to POs, not cups. Youโ€™d massively penalise โ€˜awayโ€™ fans too or not benefit โ€˜homeโ€™

Itโ€™s an issue for clubs like ours, we end up spending a fortune to get our teams and supporters to Manchester. Weโ€™re lucky to have amazing parents helping with travel costs, but itโ€™s not a level playing field. they should rotate itโ€”one year in the South, one year in the North.

This where we were in MK: Council has to partner to offset 90% of rates which is in their remit. Rent is a negotiation, depending on demand. Made more money on Rumba than basketball.

We need to stop trying to mimic the NBA and instead mimic Europe! Both in the way our leagues are run but more importantly with the speed and style of the game! We need to slow down our offences and play smart, efficient, long offence basketball
