A lot of marriages fall apart because the man doesn’t go to the garage for a beer or to tinker anymore to let things burn out and blow over. Instead, he stays in the house and engages, keeps feeding the silly arguments, accepts and uses therapy language. This provides oxygen and the thing that would have otherwise smoldered away into nothingness becomes a massive conflagration.
