So.... £2,485 on glasses for a PM was "sleaze rotting our politics to the core" but £72,000,000 in a single day for Nigel Farage is celebrated as hitting "the jackpot" and a "war chest..."
Whatever is happening here is happening in plain sight. You decide!

People like Zia Yusuf often say they don’t have a problem with immigrants, providing they integrate and contribute to the UK. Well here’s an asylum seeker who volunteers for local charities, served as a trustee of local schools, became a councillor in her local area and rose to lead that council, and is now seeking to become an MP for her home area - and that’s still not enough integration or contribution. It never will be because whatever she does, her real sin in the eyes of people like Yusuf is simply being from Somalia.

Robert Jenrick says Nigel Farage’s “sole involvement” in the donation investigation was to “have lunch.”
“You can't criticise a leader for saying thank you over lunch to someone … being polite is not a crime these days.”

Reform also have the highest number who would vote against them if they could. Under Starmer Labour actually topped this measure but since Burnham came in the number of “vote against” Labour has dropped, and by a much greater margin than their VI has risen: Burnham has both made Labour more popular and less hated.

Trust the BBC to kick off their bulletins tonight with Farage’s denial of wrongdoing. Once it would have been the corporation that would have broken the story of Farage’s wrongdoing, not reduced to putting out his version of events.

As far as I can tell Reform's Leader in Wales has been bumped off the list of speakers on the main stage at the conference.
They started late to let people into the venue, but Dan Thomas did not speak in the allotted slot in-between Lee Anderson and Zia Yusuf around 90 mins ago.

Plaid cannot spend every day attacking Labour and then complain about “destructive opposition” when Labour refuses to support them.
At this stage, it really is not clear how they expect to govern Wales.

If true that @andyburnham not taking media questions after speech today then good move. Speeches matter and when important should speak for themselves. A problem with Keir S communications was that he would make a speech, then take Qs and the broadcast journalists in particular would make it more about them and their “take” than him. If and when he becomes PM Burnham will be answerable to Parliament, not the showbiz style media coverage of politics. The blah factory will go into overdrive today with journalists interviewing each other about how they ought to be allowed to ask Qs. The speech itself is more important than anything they say before during or after. Setting the agenda vital from the off.

I’m hearing that Andy Burnham has purchased a meal deal at WH Smith in Euston station. Beth, Sam and Sophy are en route to ask the checkout assistant what flavour crisps he chose.
Meanwhile Nigel Farage trousered a £5m bung and didn’t declare it.
Back to the crisps story.
