You can't put into words the day the Griffin Lockwood Powell had yesterday for AA Tulsa. First, it was very hot in Wichita, and he had to catch every pitch of a 15-13 game that lasted WELL over 3 hours. He got hit by foul tips, he got nailed by a back swing of a hitter in the 8th, and he never so much as blinked. In fact, he pounded out 3 hits, and to add to the exhaustion of the day, one of them was a triple, which was a lot of fun. I'm tellin' ya' when that game was over, I don't care how good of shape you're in, GLP had to be totally spent. More on GLP He extended his on-base streak to 35 games, which is the longest in the Texas League this year, and 3rd longest overall in ALL of Minor League Baseball. I was there to see every pitch, and he deserves a Standing Ovation and mad respect for what he did yesterday. #dodgers
