MY TAKE ON TODAYβS INCIDENT IN PARLIAMENT
At todayβs sitting of Parliament, I raised serious and disturbing allegations concerning the alleged sale of Ghanaian diplomatic passports for amounts ranging from US$10,000 to US$50,000.
In my capacity as Ranking Member of Parliamentβs Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Committee, I called for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to appear before Parliament and account for these allegations.
The Majority Leader objected to my intervention. However, I maintained that allegations of such gravity, already circulating in the public domain, cannot simply be ignored. They have serious implications for Ghanaβs international reputation, the integrity of our diplomatic passports and the credibility of our institutions.
As Ranking Member, I consider it my solemn duty to bring such consequential matters before Parliament, without fear or favour. I owe this duty to Ghana, my constituents and the New Patriotic Party.
The Rt. Hon. Speaker, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, subsequently directed me to withdraw the said statement.
I have enormous respect for the Office of the Speaker and for Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin personally. That respect, however, does not diminish my constitutional and parliamentary responsibility to raise matters of grave national concern and demand accountability.
I am deeply grateful to my colleagues on the Minority side who stood firmly with me and walked out in solidarity when the Speaker directed that I be escorted out of the Chamber.
Let me be clear: Respect for parliamentary authority and the pursuit of accountability are not mutually exclusive.
I remain a disciplined, patriotic and respectful Member of Parliament, but equally a proud and committed member of the Mighty Minority, determined to hold the Government accountable, particularly in matters concerning our foreign affairs.
Accountability is non-negotiable!
God bless our homeland Ghana.

π¨ Francesco Totti on Romaβs humiliating 7-1 defeat to Manchester United in 2007:
βI spent 25 years at Roma, and I can honestly say that night was the most embarrassing moment of my entire career at the club.
Before that game, Sir Alex Ferguson had called me several times, asking me to join Manchester United. I always turned him down because my heart belonged to Roma. I never regretted that decision, but what happened that night made me question everything.
I remember seeing Ferguson speak before the match. He said he didnβt know a player called Totti. He only knew Daniele De Rossi, and considered him our best player.
Honestly, I was furious. I went into the dressing room and told my teammates, βTonight, Iβm going to show that man who Francesco Totti is.β
But when the game started, it felt like we had walked into hell. Every time I looked at the scoreboard, I wanted to look away. Seven goals. Seven! And Cristiano Ronaldo kept hurting us. There was absolutely nothing we could do to stop them.
That night changed my perception of Sir Alex. I finally understood why he had been so confident. He knew exactly what he had built at Manchester United. He didnβt need to prove anything to me.
I have always respected him, but after that night, I understood why people consider him one of the greatest managers in football history.
Manchester United were a team you feared before you even stepped onto the pitch. Their name alone could intimidate you, especially in the Champions League.
But when I look at United today, I see a club that has lost so much of that identity. They are no longer the team we used to fear.
However, I would never allow Roma to look down on Manchester United. I remember what that club was capable of, and I know exactly what they once represented in European football.β
NPP Won 6 Regions in 2016 And Had 5.7 Million Plus Voteβs Representing 53.7%..
NPP Won 7 Regions In 2020 And Had 6.7 Million Plus Voteβs Representing 51.59%.
NPP Won 3 Regions In 2024 And Had 4.8 Million Plus Voteβs Representing 41.61%.
And Going Into 2028 General Elections β¦
The NDC Win In 13 Regions Out Of 16 Regions Which They Won The 2024 General Elections With 6.5 Million Plus Voteβs.
The NPP Had 4.8 Million Plus Voteβs With Only 3 Regionβs As Against NDC Winning 16 Regionβs With 6.5 Million Plus Voteβs.
Difference ~ 6.591.790-4.877.611= 1.714.179 Million Votes.
Now The NPP Only Need To Maintain The 3 Regionβs They Won In 2024 Which Is Ashanti Region,North East Region & Eastern Region.
Then Increase The Total Voteβs They Had In Ashanti Region From 1.3 Million Plus To 2Million Plus Voteβs,Increase Their Voteβs In Central Region,Accra And Reclaim Western Region Back.
And With The Parliamentary,No Fear,NPP Will Have Majority In Parliament 2028.
