Ferguson took 7 years to win his first Premier League so the joke is on you Walter for not knowing your history.
Mikel Arteta signing an extension until 2030 and actually thinking he’s about to build a Ferguson-level legacy at Arsenal is the funniest joke of the season.
Bro won one proper league title after half a decade of near misses and bottle jobs and suddenly thinks he's built an institution. You don't replicate the greatest managerial legacy in English football history just by getting a contract extension handed out by corporate. Levels are levels, and some standards can't be bought.

They’re all talking about us. Laughing at Arsenal and how awful we are. Our renaissance is going to be so sweet. I’m backing Arteta. Just wait.

You have to wonder how it took a computer hacker and a German newspaper to uncover the cheating by City. Is there no governance or oversight by the PL? Are accounts not audited? Everyone knew they were up to something but it was left for years and took a hacker to spot it.

City can't even sell out their first PL home game since the guilty verdict.
No strong show of support from their ‘fanbase’ for a Saturday 3pm kickoff, dozens of tickets in sections.
They will still try to make you believe that their revenue is among the biggest in the world.
Tickets are now available for Ipswich at the Etihad 🙌

Rotten. To the core. And totally indefensible. And yet there are people trying to justify it. Sportswashing right on our doorstep. Close the door. Now and forever.

From Etihad Airways 60-page submission to John Kerry, US Department Secretary of State, Antony Foxx, US Department of Transportation Secretary and Penny Pritzker, US Department of Commerce Secretary on May 31, 2015
#MCFC’s key defence in its appeal over the Premier League guilty verdict was denied by its own title sponsor Etihad Airways in an extensive submission to the US government in 2015

I feel very cynical about the world we live in these days.
And for that reason, my gut instinct tells me that City will get away with it.
I have no doubt that they have cheated, will continue to cheat and will gloat about being able to do whatever they want, but look around the world, it is run by genuinely dreadful people.
The rich just get richer.
Money = Power & Influence.
I’d love to be pleasantly surprised for once.

So, just to clarify, the UAE are telling the British government that they're only willing to invest in Britain if they are allowed to break any rules they want? The only response should be: Bye bye, UAE.
Exclusive with @AlexDooler @DNair5
UAE officials have warned the UK government that the severity of Man City’s punishment could undermine their appetite for future grand-scale commitments in Britain, according to people familiar with the matter
They consider the Premier League’s actions to have an influence on the bilateral state relationship, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing undisclosed information
The extraordinary pressure comes after Andy Burnham faced criticism, including from within government, for saying Man City’s Abu Dhabi owners should not be disqualified specifically because of the investment they bring to Britain
