So, let me flag a few things, traitor. 1. "European security architecture" is a phrase the Kremlin uses. We already have one: it's called NATO. 2. You conflate (as you always do) the victim of this war with the aggressor. The aggressor is Russia. 3. "Root causes" is Russian for "do it our way" and you know it. 4. Nothing a word about Russian withdrawal, the occupied territories, POWs or deported children. Weird. 5. Lavrov wrote this for you. 6. Fuck Putin, fuck Russia, and fuck you.
President Trump today advanced an important discussion with several European leaders about the need for a broader European security architecture that can help establish the conditions for lasting peace. Building on his leadership and the substantive work undertaken this week in Brussels with Ukraine, NATO, and our European partners, @SEPeaceMissions and I wanted to share some of the objectives guiding our ongoing discussions. For more than 30 years, Europe and Russia have struggled to establish a sustainable security framework. Decades of mistrust, competing security concerns, and the devastating consequences of this war make this an extraordinarily difficult challenge, but one that is essential to lasting peace. Our objective is to develop practical arrangements that address the security concerns of all sides, reduce the risk of future conflict, and create a more stable and predictable security environment. We are exploring five principal goals: permanent security consultations, reliable crisis communications, greater military transparency, reciprocal measures to reduce escalation risks, and an enduring framework for long-term European security and stability. Any arrangements must fully respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independent decision-making of every nation. Each country will retain authority over its own security and alliances, and no country would have a veto over another’s sovereign choices. NATO will remain central to European collective defense, and this initiative would build upon existing institutions and commitments. We will continue consultations through the Shell Bay format with Ukraine, NATO, the EU, and our European partners, expanding engagement to ensure that all relevant perspectives and ideas are considered. We will also engage Russia as part of the peace negotiations. Next week in Abu Dhabi, the United States will convene the first trilateral peace discussions with Ukraine and Russia since February. All parties remain intensely engaged in preparing for substantive and productive negotiations. We will consult closely with our European partners on the sidelines and, if progress is made, aim to move toward a broader multilateral format with their direct participation. These ideas continue to evolve, and we welcome thoughtful input. Creating the right structure will be critical to ending this war and transitioning from conflict toward conditions that make possible a durable peace. This is difficult, detailed work. There are no easy solutions. But the opportunity to help end this devastating war and build a foundation for a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous Europe for generations to come makes it a challenge well worth undertaking. We will see how these discussions develop and continue working intensively with all parties toward President Trump’s objective of a comprehensive and lasting peace.

We had a referee call our manager a "German cu*t", a linesman elbow our player, the worst VAR decision in the history of the Premier League go against us and no VAR penalty since 2022. Forgive me if I think we're refereed differently.
📊 Liverpool have conceded 128 fouls in the Premier League this season, more than any other side. They’ve won 88, with only three teams winning fewer. 58% of all fouls in Liverpool’s league games have gone against them, the highest share in the division. [@OptaJoe] #LFC

NEW: UK Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband has told Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov that he and his government are responsible for killing innocent civilians, condemning Thursday’s attack on Dnipro railway station Speaking directly to Lavrov at a meeting of G20 foreign ministers in the US today, Miliband said: "Let me say this directly to the Russian Foreign Minister: we all know who the aggressor in this war is. Let's talk about what happened at Dnipro railway yesterday. Only yesterday your drones attacked and killed 15 people. And there are countless examples like this of you killing innocent civilians throughout this war. We all know you are the aggressor. We all know you started this war four and a half years ago with the full scale invasion of Ukraine. " "And Putin thought then he would win this war easily. But you are are not winning this war. Thanks to the courage of the Ukrainian people and the solidarity of countries round this table, you are not winning. If you had the courage to tell the truth and to do what is right you would tell Putin that he is not winning this war and will not win."

Hi again David, you’ve not been in touch yet. But call or email and I’ll tell you the names of the journalists briefed by City, and links to their stories. You can then, if you choose, report those details in your next BBC-funded podcast.
Hi David, listened to this yesterday. You stated, unequivocally, that Man City haven't briefed or leaked on this story. That is categorically untrue, and has been since 2020, at least. Get in touch and I'll give you details. But don't lie to your licence-paying listeners.

This Australian's reply to Trump's rant about “NATO not being there for America” is perfect. "Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage. You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail. Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates. Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you. And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban in Afghanistan thanked you very much for losing again. And you're calling Greenland poorly run? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no. 'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years. And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess. So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your f----- mouth." Credit to: Jim Keller

Since PSR came into effect, Arsenal and Man Utd have only made UCL spots 54% of the time. Top 5 completely blown open now too. Villa, Brighton, and Brentford all more likely than Man Utd or Spurs to get UCL this season. But “red cartel”.

🇺🇦🇺🇸 I think Zelensky is 💯 right about this... "Trump decided to pin this problem not on Putin, but on me, explaining to his people that diesel prices in America are going up because of us. That is completely untrue." So Putin invades Ukraine, U.S. and Israel start the war in Iran, and somehow Zelensky ends up responsible for diesel prices in America? 🤣🤣🤣 Writers: Samuel, Michael

That’s all they’ve got. Mud slinging. PL clubs’ tax avoidance in early 2000s… ✅ Not criminal (not evasion) ✅ Not hidden / dishonest ✅ Part of financial reporting ✅ Auditors knew about it ✅ Did not break PL rules ✅ ALL PL clubs doing similar tax avoidance schemes right now (e.g., IRCs for players) Man City’s scheme… ❌ Likely criminal (evasion) ❌ Hidden and dishonest ❌ Not part of financial reporting ❌ Auditors deceived ❌ Broke PL rules ❌ Only other club known to have done similar was Chelsea
City insist that sponsorship was done legally. The main issue. Talksport mention Mancini however not their own Ray "Party" Parlour. It's likely all the top Premier League clubs do creative stuff. Arsenal & Liverpool in particular know City's owners will try and expose them.

Adam’s spot on here. Man City is a small club with a small fanbase and almost no fans abroad who would fly in for a UCL game unlike Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd etc. Which is why it makes perfect sense that their sponsorships are at more expensive than Real Madrid’s 💀
City don’t have an army of football tourists to occupy every empty seat when locals don’t go like the other big PL clubs. UCL group stage prices have nearly doubled in the last few years, wages have not. No football fans should be attacking other fans for taking a night off.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t even matter if Zelenskyy is President of Ukraine or not. @ZelenskyyUa Putin’s goal is to take Ukraine. Then he will take Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and he will make his way through all of Europe. People obsess over personalities too much. You could have an election in Ukraine tomorrow and Putin would still find a reason to be at war. Russia INVADED Ukraine. Not the other way around. Zelenskyy’s removal from office won’t stop Russian imperialism. It’s not about Zelenskyy. It’s about Putin. It’s always been about Putin.

Suicide and men. New suicide figures have been published by @ONS: 5,738 suicides were registered for England in 2025. 75% were in men. 1 in 65 men die by suicide. Sometimes when I'm invited to talk about mental health, I ask a question at the end. "How many of you (mixed crowd) struggle with mental health issues?". Maybe one or two in a room of a couple of hundred. Then when everyone leaves, often 10-20 guys will come over and say "I do". Men still have a problem opening up about their mental health, all ages, because the message society still sends is, "it's weakness". October, for some reason is the worst month of the year for me. I go from running 20kph and flying through summer ( well, better than October) to what I can only describe is a descent into every mental health stereotype. Anxiety Fear No energy ( chronic) Hypersomnia ( 28 hours isn't uncommon) Insomnia Suicidal ideation And then the voice pops up. "You could end this here and now ". It's really difficult to explain to anyone who's never had suicidal ideation what it exactly is. Because I run and keep fit I "know" my fitness will pull me through, but many are stuck in a cycle. Maybe use food or alcohol to look for a dopamine hit ( serious mental health issues literally take away your ability to feel anything, an omnipresent numbness), maybe drugs, maybe exercise, maybe work, many even cut themselves to try to feel something. In that context, saying" I'll end it here and now " becomes a relief. It's certainly no cry for help because you've mostly already tried everything and still the black dog comes. Right now I'm at the gym, forced myself to push through but I know a 28 hour sleep may be incoming and that "why don't you..." voice starts to get louder. I've put this out there over 20 years on here so thus isn't for any purpose other than to show that someone who's in the top 1% of health and fitness is as prone to this quite frightening drop off, seemingly from nowhere, so if this is you, you have that voice, then know it's an illness that strikes many, and unfortunately takes a few along the way. I'm lucky, many took the literal leap because the fear is all consuming. There us help, lots of charities I here @MindBodySoleUK @MindCharity @CharitySANE are but a few. But those stats at the top are sobering, and are holding steady. If someone you know is struggling or you think they are, please reach out to them. If you are struggling, please reach out to friends and family.
