Seeing a lot of these comments flying around and so I thought I’d share this. I’m not the best at explaining but hopefully makes sense and happy to answer questions.

I’m gonna try and answer lol. So as you know, AE’s = adverse events that happen after study intervention. AESI’s = adverse events of special interest, this is usually (in my world) something sponsor specifically wants you to look out for… 1/
“Advocate for informed consent” 🤣 Yet repeatedly downplays demonstrated reductions in bowel cancer deaths while emphasising screening harms. IC requires balanced evidence, including the risks of not screening. Martin like to mislead people with his bs bio.
“Clinical Researcher 25+ years”, yet has no idea how research works, unable to interpret data correctly or cherry picks data to confirm his claims. 😏 Interesting to claim to champion informed consent while selectively withholding half the picture. 🤮

I can demonstrate it. The NHS FIT invitation leaflet doesn't adequately explain false positives, overdiagnosis, overtreatment or anxiety. Fuller details come only after a positive FIT. Nor does it mention those that are "low risk" individuals who should consider not screening.
Wow. 😳 Some sobering facts I wasn’t aware of. Great by Vine & Co as always.
Up until today, I hadn't really understood the level of Alex Belfield's crimes but this is genuinely worth 30 minutes of your time
If you replace BBC with NHS it becomes an extremely convincing analogy for someone else, who deserves imprisonment IMO

I’m so done with people masquerading as Doctors, Nurses, Scientists, Researchers with intent to misled the public. If you want to do it so badly, get the qualifications, go to Uni and come back when you’re done.
Guarantee if you did, you wouldn’t spout the nonsense you do now.🙄
Rob is a coward. He likes to block when you ask him for evidence of his rantings. Then he unblocks so he can shit post and then block you again. All while maintaining that I have blocked him. Ummm…as well as being a coward, Rob isn’t very bright. Don’t be a Rob 🤣🤭
@robsellen
More unevidenced nonsense. No one gave you serious shit in 2020. We were too busy working mate.
So stop making shit up to excuse your bad behaviour and stupidity. If you don’t like the responses you’re getting, stop dishing it out.
Grow up.
Great thread as always by @IntegralAnswers
Dr Peter Hotez will always be a particular hero of mine in the science field. His dedication to finding vaccines/treatments for neglected illnesses for those in poverty will always humble me. 👏🏼 🫶🏼
Most people know Dr. Peter Hotez from his television appearances during COVID, his defense of vaccination, and the relentless attacks directed at him on social media.
I know Peter as a friend. And I want to tell you about another part of his life that rarely enters those arguments.
For more than four decades, Peter has devoted much of his scientific career to diseases that afflict some of the poorest people on Earth. Diseases that cause enormous suffering but attract relatively little commercial investment because the people who need treatment often cannot afford to pay for it.
Hookworm. Schistosomiasis. Chagas disease. Leishmaniasis.
These are hardly household names. Their victims rarely make headlines, and the scientists working on them seldom become celebrities.
Peter chose this field long before COVID, long before the cable news appearances, and long before strangers began calling him a pharmaceutical industry shill.
His career deserves a closer look.
Because the work tells a story that is almost entirely absent from the accusations made against him.
There are truly dim witted people on this app who think that books written by unqualified people with an opinion and are unverified/not independently reviewed, are actual evidence. Hilarious. 🤣 This has made my day.
Off to walk the dogs and enjoy my coffee.
…Observational evidence ≠ proof of causation, but important findings for discussions about ADHD treatment.
