And that will be England gone,
The shadows, the meadows, the lanes,
The guildhalls, the carved choirs.
There'll be books; it will linger on
In galleries; but all that remains
For us will be concrete and tyres.

Non-British youths throwing rocks at people on Oxford Street during half-term a time when many families come out with their children to see the Christmas lights is apparently what @MayorofLondon @SadiqKhan says London needs more of.

"About 10 years ago, I hacked into a Labour MP's website and I changed all the stuff in there to say nice things about Tories," Badenoch said.
Hacking into websites is a criminal offence and can be punishable with a fine or up to a two-year prison sentence for minor offences, or life imprisonment for the most serious.
Seems Caroline is a bit of a stranger to the truth.
No surprise really for a Lib Dumb.
I’ve tried to find myself in the video because I remember this pretty clearly.
I think I’m one row back just out of shot on the left of the screen.
It’s completely beyond me how and why Caroline has presented herself as the victim here. She was bloody rude and really quite confrontational and she did it for no other reason than Nigel is Nigel and she wanted to give him a piece of her mind.
Anything other than it being a bit of a rush and a squeeze because of the occasion is nonsense.
From what I remember Caroline was both the instigator and the aggressor.

Years ago, when in my 20s, a solicitor I worked with told me to never complain about my age as many people don’t reach it. (whatever that age!) I’ve never forgotten that. 🤔 Count each year as a blessing.

Yes indeed. I’m your decade - I just found out a long-ago ex had a stroke yesterday. We’re at the age when people we knew as vibrant, vital individuals are being struck down. So, do what you love, go on these trips, do everything you want while you can. Don’t put things off.

The gov of the Bank of England, Andrew Bailey chaired the Cambridge University Fabian Society, it’s in his blood, he cannot possibly be impartial, the banks didn’t want Liz Truss, THEY destabilised the markets. She has never lost her faith in her ideas & she’s waited
The birthday card I posted to my friend near Brisbane in Australia arrived quicker than the card I posted to my friend in Croydon, UK.
Oh dear Royal Mail. ☹️😬

IMO the Former Defence Minister resigned in a backroom deal, to add fuel to the fire of ousting the useless Starmer for replacement of 'a mayor, failed to be PM TWICE for good, incompetent, reasons'. Chancellor role the prize.
