🇦🇿🇰🇷 South Korea is spending $5.5 million to bring an ancient Azerbaijani water system back to life. Azerbaijan plans to restore traditional kahriz networks across liberated Karabakh by 2030, with reconstruction starting this year. Kahriz are centuries-old underground channels that naturally carry groundwater to the surface, supplying communities and farmland without modern pumping. Korean KOICA is funding the project as part of South Korea’s development cooperation with Azerbaijan.
