There have been 1,253 road deaths in the year to the end of November 2023. 😔
It’s the highest recorded total in five and a half years.
Politicians should stop hiding crucial data about the causes of car crashes and the condition or our roads, so we can understand what is going wrong.
That’s why Australia’s motoring clubs and 17 medical and transport organisations support the AAA’s commonsense call for data transparency and evidence-based policy making.
This data would also show Australians whether politicians spend our taxes to make roads safer, or to win votes in marginal electorates.
