So, so grateful for this. It’s been an incredible year of learning.
Welcoming @SarahHROM to the @CollectivED1 Fellowship. Congratulations Sarah. Sarah has shown genuine commitment to developing her role as a coach. She is always open to learning, and takes ideas and explores them critically and creatively in relation to her own context.
So so important.
In most cases, our conversation partners don't want advice unless they explicitly ask for it. What people want is someone who listens, values their ideas, and is empathetic & nonjudgemental.

Students learning about forces and motion trying to make the car safe so the person doesn’t fall out…a neck belt is an interesting solution. Students assured me he could still breathe.😊 #andneedswheels

Coaching risks becoming another cog in the machine that keeps professionals busy and is used to reproduce systems, and to recycle ideas rather than challenge and support educators to imagine and create educational futures they might truly aspire to, be party to the creation of.

Recently, I read an author who said that my approach to coaching is facilitative. As most people know, that is not correct. For clarity, here's an article where I explain that instructional coaching is actually dialogical. instructionalcoaching.com/bl…

So many models of coaching being used in education and I’ve added some new ones myself. I think this is great as long as we agree what the core principles of coaching are and discern its true potential in education - don’t distort it to fit a compliance agenda set by leadership.
What an amazing shot! Thank you @ProfBrianCox for an incredible evening.
@ByronFarrow can you spot us?!!
So, so good! Even for non-scientists like me! 😊 Mind-boggling.
Replying to @ProfBrianCox
@ProfBrianCox in Bucharest. Great lecture content (Penrose diagrams a surprise inclusion), latest science (the new black hole image, latest deep field from JWST), but above all great music from all the initials - REM, TMBG and PSB at the end.
Thank you, @AnnevanDam1966 and Sean Walker for a great #IBExchange webinar last night, focusing on ‘Documenting Learning in the Early Years’. #pypchat #earlyyears #sketchnote

Made the #Chinese tale of Nian with an #Innovation twist, powered by @microbit_edu! Engineered with a #3dprint gear with microservo for Nian and a 8-LED ring as fireworks. Merging culture with mechanics, this project was a blend of storytelling and engineering! #microbit #edtech
Ran a workshop during @AISBucharest professional learning day today. Something a little different and no tech! #neuroarts #wellbeing

So many take-aways from three days of in-house PD with @paulandersen, learning about teaching science more effectively. Thanks, Paul! #DontKillTheWonder #NGSS
Another awesome day with @paulandersen at @AISBucharest Grade 1 student drew a model to show what he noticed when a ball moved on a tuning fork when another tuning fork was hit. Even young students can THINK scientifically as adults can. Do NOT underestimate them. #NGSS
