Our entire Saskatchewan Party team mourns the loss of our founding member Ken Krawetz.
Ken was instrumental in the formation of the Saskatchewan Party in 1997. He served as our Interim Leader from 1997 to 1998, and served as a Saskatchewan Party MLA from the formation of the party until his retirement in 2016.
His guidance and thoughtfulness has provided a long-lasting legacy for the Saskatchewan Party, and his profound impact last for decades to come.
Our hearts go out to Gail and the Krawetz family at this time of tremendous loss for our province.

On behalf of a grateful party, government and province, I want to offer my deepest condolences to the family and many, many friends of former MLA, opposition leader, minister and Deputy Premier Ken Krawetz, one of the founding members of the Saskatchewan Party.
This one hurts a lot. In any room Ken was in, whether as a teacher, school board trustee, opposition or government caucus member, cabinet minister or at the kitchen table talking to a constituent, Ken was always the guy who brought the logic, integrity, compassion and common sense to arrive at the right decision.
Ken loved his community. He loved his province. He loved serving his province. He loved his friends and he loved his family more than anything. He even loved the Toronto Maple Leafs. His big heart struggled at times, but it was only because he shared pieces of it with so many.
Flags at the Legislature will be lowered to half-mast in honour of Ken Krawetz.
The NDP keep saying no – we’re saying yes to investment in Saskatchewan.
After a week in London at the World Nuclear Symposium, the Premier spent this week at the Canada Investment Summit, where he announced the largest private sector capital investment in Saskatchewan's history.
That’s strong and steady leadership: building relationships, advancing major opportunities and bringing investment and jobs home to Saskatchewan.
While the opposition plays politics, we’re getting results.
Congratulations to Eric Schmalz, acclaimed tonight in Saskatchewan Rivers as our eight nominated candidate for the 2028 provincial election!

Saskatchewan is partnering with Alberta and the Northwest Territories to create new opportunities to strengthen our power grid, advance nuclear energy and support economic growth.
As demand for electricity continues to grow, Saskatchewan is taking a leadership role in building the next generation of energy infrastructure.
This is a significant milestone that will help power our communities, our industries and our strong, steady economy well into the future.
Congratulations to Dale Hrynuik, acclaimed tonight in Saskatoon Meewasin as our seventh nominated candidate for the 2028 provincial election!
Congratulations to Brad Crassweller, acclaimed tonight in White City-Qu'Appelle as our sixth nominated candidate for the 2028 provincial election!
Congratulations to Camille Barzeele, acclaimed tonight in Saskatoon Chief Mistawasis as our fifth nominated candidate for the 2028 provincial election!
The NDP and the radical Pembina Institute want to shut down coal and trust our energy security to wind, solar, and batteries.
Would you trust a four-hour battery to get your family through a January cold snap?

Some have called for export tariffs on SK exports like oil and potash.
Here’s why that doesn’t work.
Congratulations to Alana Ross, acclaimed tonight in Prince Albert Northcote as our fourth nominated candidate for the 2028 provincial election!
The NDP aren't serious on healthcare. Their plan to close urgent care centres in Regina and Saskatoon is wrong for patients, and wrong for Saskatchewan.
The NDP are spending their summer stumping for an U.S. politician that compares trade with Canada to cancer and says tariffs are the “chemotherapy”. You just can’t take the NDP seriously.
Congratulations to Terry Jenson, acclaimed tonight in Warman as our third nominated candidate for the 2028 provincial election!
Terry has represented the Warman area since 2020 and currently serves as Minister of Social Services. Thank you to everyone who came out tonight.
