The city of Austin spent $1.1M of tax $ on this logo. Last week the city threatened us with legal action for creating a parody logo to highlight this waste. We're still using it & we have filed a free speech suit in state court. Time for an Audit? (See Statesman coverage)

Facts matter.
This is the Prop I (Vote Aye for Prop Eye) petition signer list.
Diverse. In every way. Signers are:
> 40% hard Democrat
> 23% independent
>37% Republican.
Basically, it reflects the city very nicely.
Corrupt grifters want to desperately hold onto power and waste money by falsely smearing us as “partisan” in an attempt to prevent our outside audit from passing. They will fail. Bookmark this.
We aren’t partisan. We never have been. Every single major project has had bipartisan leadership, design and execution. Period. No exceptions.
We will pass the outside audit on Nov. 3.
We will improve transparency, efficient and affordability.
We will save Austin. Now.

More waste. This is not a core service.
Remember, this year Austin taxpayers can expect:
-City property tax increase of 3.5%
-Central Health county property tax increase of 12% (if it passes 9/15)
-County increase: TBD this month
-AISD: TBD this month
City of Austin sent a check for $12.5k last week to become members of 'Race Forward's 'Advancing racial equity in government' membership community
I believe Dallas is also a member, benefits include online trainings and webinars.

Excellent KXAN segment on this issue that aired last night -- kxan.com/news/local/austin/c…
We created an action alert for Travis County taxpayers three days ago, and so far, 691 Travis County taxpayers used our platform to easily send an email to the Travis County Judge and the Travis County Commissioners Court.
Register your opposition to this 12% Central Health tax increase for ALL TRAVIS COUNTY TAXPAYERS: app.onevoiceapp.io/act/sanpa…
TRAVIS COUNTY RESIDENTS: Make your voice heard by asking the Travis County Commissioners Court NOT TO APPROVE at 12% property tax increase when they vote on Sept. 15.
This increase DOES NOT REQUIRE VOTER APPROVAL.
It is primarily being used to shift homeless response from the City of Austin to Central Health, devised so that voters have no say.
We need to pass the audit in November (vote Aye on Prop I), complete the audit, have City Council implement efficiencies, especially in homeless spending, then we can consider tax policies at the local level.
There is FAR TOO MUCH WASTE, FRAUD, DUPLICATION and INEFFICIENCY in the City of Austin budget.
Taxpayers are at their breaking point.
> TAKE ACTION: Click here (app.onevoiceapp.io/act/sanpa…) to email the entire Travis County Commissioners Court. It will take less than 30 seconds.

D5 is a bellwether for our city. Reflects the demographics of the city pretty well.
71% of LVs in D5 support the outside audit charter amendment — Prop I.
#NovemberIsComing #VoteAyeForPropI
Austin City Council District 5 candidate @DavidForATX has gone to the effort to poll the district and has data to show for it.
But what voters really want to know:
Where does *he* stand on these issues?
Budget: no-new revenue vs increase
Audit: Prop i charter amendment vs council ordinance
Debt: bonds vs certificates of obligation
Representation: taxpayers vs interest groups
MAJOR VICTORY , the Austin parks department is reversing its move to cancel the sports leagues!
Thank you @MattMackowiak and Save Austin now for driving the outreach to council about this one 👏

Proud of my Council-member.
He works very hard for D10 and unlike his predecessor, actually responds to his constituents and works on issues in the district
Honored to have been chosen as Best Community Leader by the @statesman, @Austin_Monthly, and all of y’all who voted! Huge thanks to my staff and all of the supportive residents in #D10 and beyond.
Let's keep working together to make Austin a better place to live 👍
