🚨FRANKIE: 33 POUNDS OF PERSONALITY, 10 MONTHS OF FUN AND ONE VERY SPECIAL LITTLE GUY WHO NEEDS YOU. 🚨
Meet Frankie! Our handsome pit bull mix, professional baby, part-time singer, full-time kisser, and a boy who desperately needs someone to see what we see. ❤️🐾
Now, we’re going to be honest with you.
Frankie is the dog people tend to walk past. Not because he isn’t wonderful, but because he’s scared in his kennel. There’s barking everywhere, noise coming from every direction, and a whole lot of chaos. Frankie doesn’t know what to do with all of it. He’s overwhelmed, frightened, and struggling to cope.
And when people walk by, all they see is the barking.
But we see so much more.
Because when things get quiet, when the noise stops, and when you say his name three times in that ridiculous little baby voice we all use with animals (you know the one 😂), something magical happens.
✨ Frankie smiles.
💋 Frankie kisses.
💃 Frankie dances.
🎤 Frankie sings.
❤️ Frankie LOVES.
And he does it all because, for just a little while, his brain finally gets a moment of peace.
We took Frankie into our quiet interview room, away from all the barking and commotion, and suddenly we were meeting a completely different dog. A happy dog. A goofy dog. A dog with a wagging tail that we honestly weren’t sure we’d get to see.
And if we’re being honest? It broke our hearts a little.
Because how long has Frankie been this scared? What happened before he came to us? What made the world feel so overwhelming to a puppy who should be busy learning how wonderful it can be?
We don’t have those answers. We just know that Frankie needs help.
He needs patience. He needs kindness. He needs someone willing to look past the barking and give him a chance to show them who he really is.
He might need some extra time to build his confidence. He might need a quiet place to decompress, a gentle approach, and someone who understands that progress doesn’t always happen overnight.
But honestly, in this day and age, who among us doesn’t need a little help sometimes? 😂❤️
Frankie isn’t looking for someone perfect. He’s looking for someone willing to see him. Someone who will celebrate the tiny victories, laugh at his ridiculous little personality, and remind him every day that the world isn’t always such a scary place.
He deserves to be spoiled rotten. He deserves to feel safe. He deserves to dance around the living room like he just won Dancing with the Stars: Shelter Dog Edition.
Most importantly, Frankie deserves the chance to be more than the scared dog behind a kennel door.
And this is something we wish everyone understood about shelter animals.
Some arrive happy and confident. Others arrive scared, shut down, confused, or completely overwhelmed. Some need more time before their personalities shine through.
But we love them all the same.
We don’t stop loving them because they’re scared. We don’t give up on them because they’re struggling. And we hope someone out there will look at Frankie and choose to love him through the hard parts, too.
Frankie is only 10 months old and weighs 33 pounds. He’s still a baby with so much life ahead of him. Somewhere out there is a person who will discover that behind all that nervous barking is a little guy who smiles, kisses, dances, sings, and loves with his whole heart.
We just need that person to find him. 🥹❤️
📣 PLEASE SHARE FRANKIE. You never know who might be the person willing to give this special boy the chance he deserves.
If you are interested in Frankie, please stop by or visit our website at amherstanimalshelter.org/ado… to apply.
His adoption fee will be $200

BUNNY🐾🐾 STILL NEEDS A NEW FOSTER💕 HOME!
Bunny🐾🐾 has been waiting MONTHS with practically ZERO interest simply because she keeps getting overlooked. 😭 She’s a happy, healthy, playful girl with SO much love to give!
🐾 Great with other dogs
👧 Wonderful with kids
💕 Loves everyone she meets
🎾 Playful, sweet, and full of personality
🏡 Crate trained and does great on a leash
We have been trying for months to find this girl her forever❤️ family, and now we’re just hoping someone will open their home to her while she continues to wait.
We know brown dogs aren’t always the ones people rush to apply for, but Bunny🐾🐾 deserves just as much of a chance as any other dog.
