Worse, since the legislation came into effect there has been a blossoming illegal market. Properties on mainstream platforms brazenly market themselves, either with fake licence numbers or none at all. None of it (4/9)

150k unpaid alcohol licenses. Another example of @Edinburgh_CC not policing their own policies. They are still relentlessly pursuing what is now less than 1400 licensed STLs - who are paying the visitor levy- whilst completely ignoring the unlicensed ones who are paying nothing. They are literally losing millions of £ in lost revenue which could pay to fix their 100s of empty council houses and actually help the housing crisis. But then, accurate data is not @CllrChasBooth ‘s forte. #SaveSC

Breaking point! Platform fees 19.5%. Visitor Levy 5%. VAT 20%. That's a staggering 44.5% in headline charges before cleaning, heating, maintenance, insurance, mortgages or council tax. And they call this supporting Scotland's tourism industry? #SaveSC
