Replying to @gunpolicy
They take an oath to the Constitution not the people. Their job is to tell us NO, when we want something that's not in the constitution. They should weigh whether or not it's constitutional prior to writing a law. Not, if it's unconstitutional SCOTUS will overturn it.

🚨 LMAO! Democrats are throwing a FIT as pro-gun activists are outside the Virginia State Capitol handing out free 30-ROUND AR-15 mags to folks, as the state government is about to BAN them
THIS is what patriotism looks like right here 🇺🇸🔥

The police do not work for "the people."
They work for The State and will not tolerate questioning of "their authority" 🤡
🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in South Carolina after a POLICE CHIEF threatened to get a WARRANT, ARREST, and send the U.S. MARSHALS after a man...
...because he left a FACEBOOK COMMENT critizing Flock cameras.
Yes, a man cussed at the police department's license plate cameras online, and the CHIEF OF POLICE told him FEDERAL MARSHALS were coming to GRAB HIM!!!
The man's name is Christian McClellan, he lives in Ridge Spring, South Carolina.
Back in August, somebody cut down about 14 surveillance cameras around town.
The Ridge Spring Police Department posted about it on Facebook.
Christian commented. Something along the lines of "F*** you and your Flock cameras."
About a week later, his phone lit up.
A direct message from the account "Ridge Spring Police Department."
It told him it is unlawful to use profanity electronically and that:
"I will be obtaining a warrant for you for unlawful communications, see you soon...I will send the US Marshals to pick you up on this warrant. Have a wonderful day."
Christian thought it was a fake account.
Except it actually wasn't...
According to the town's own mayor, Chief of Police Terry Logan was the one behind the keyboard.
"Him saying that is crazy," Christian said. "But then to say that you're going to have the U.S. Marshals come and pick me up, that's even crazier."
So what did Christian do?
He messaged back: "go ahead, send them!!!!"
Nothing happened, the Marshalls, of course, never came.
Shockingly, NOTHING AT ALL has happened to Chief of Police Terry Logan, despite threatening a law abiding citizen from a government social media account for free speech.
THIS IS INSANE!!!!!

Too many laws , too many cops .
Time to trim the public payroll.

Guess who just defeated qualified immunity again?
@IJ and our client, Mario!
In Rosales v. Lewis, cops stopped Mario without legal justification, extended the stop, patted him down, and searched his pockets.
Today, the 5th Cir. held that all violated clearly established law.

LAWSUIT: Eight officers raided his home before dawn.
His offense? He filmed an officer speeding, criticized him when he got to a drive-thru, and embarrassed the department.
In a free country, criticizing police shouldn’t end in handcuffs.
In 2022, Joshua Gibbons filmed a Kingsport, Tennessee police SUV speeding without lights or sirens, violating state law.
He caught up with the officer at a drive-thru and had salty words about his disregard for the law.
That exchange lasted all of one minute. The consequences for Joshua lasted four years.
After someone complained about a different video — an officer flipping Gibbons off — police scoured Gibbons’ YouTube channel for ammunition.
Before dawn the next morning, while Gibbons was still in bed, eight armed officers raided his mother’s home to arrest him — for speeding using a cellphone while driving, and disorderly conduct.
A judge dismissed the speeding and cellphone charges but convicted him of disorderly conduct, saying he was “offended by the way” Gibbons was “talking to that officer.” Gibbons appealed. At a second trial, a jury again found him guilty.
In June, the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals unanimously reversed that conviction and dismissed the charge.
The court found “no evidence” that Gibbons’ criticism prevented anyone from doing anything lawful.
The court recognized — as many courts had held — that even “profane and insulting” words alone aren’t a crime, especially when directed at police officers, who are trained to exercise restraint.
With FIRE’s help, Gibbons is suing to vindicate his First Amendment rights.
The First Amendment protects your right to film and criticize police. Kingsport PD needs to hear that message loud and clear.

I love how
“No means no” is pretty agreed upon by both political parties until you mention
“Shall not be infringed”
Now theirs some wiggle room on one side?

Flock and mass-surveillance supporters have been flogging a paper they claim shows Flock is responsible for a reduction in car thefts and an increase in clearance rates.
But as my @IJ colleagues explain, the paper doesn't show ALPRs caused those things in any meaningful way.
NEW: Flock has been promoting a recent working paper purporting to show a drop in car theft associated with their cameras. But @IJ researchers have found some severe limitations with the data. ij.org/do-flock-cameras-actu…

THEY LEFT A 15 YEAR OLD TO FIND HIM !!🫏
Read that again.
COPS BREACHED onto that land at 12:45am. Tased a baby donkey.
Shot him with a Glock 17.
Then they left…
They did not call the family. They did not say where the body was… They just left him to BLEED OUT!
So a mother and a 15 year old girl walked that pasture in the dark with a flashlight until they found ‘Heehaw’!!
That girl used HeeHaw to get through her trauma. Petting zoos. Best friend.
Bottle-raised baby who ran up to people.
Now look what they are hiding…
Chief has seen the bodycam. You have not.
Fire department says the drone was off. But there is one still photo. They will NOT release it. “Compromises the investigation.”
What compromises the investigation is leaving a CHILD to discover a body you created.
GET THE FOOTAGE OUT.
If that shot was clean, the tape would already be public. If that still was nothing, they would have dropped it.
They are counting on you scrolling past a dead donkey and a quiet town.
NO CHANCE!
Heehaw LAW!

BREAKING: Rockmart Fire Department says there is no drone video in the HeeHaw case. Officials confirm one still photo exists but say releasing it now could compromise the investigation. We’ll continue following the facts.
