Back in the House of Commons, standing up for York—South Simcoe. As the fall sitting gets underway, my focus will be on saving Canadians money by fighting for lower costs for both families and the small businesses they rely on.

Nearly 1 in 3 Canadians are skipping meals because they can’t afford groceries. That’s the impact of Carney doubling the deficit: every dollar borrowed fuels higher inflation and interest rates. After 11 years of Liberal government, families are choosing between food and housing.

The real engine driving the success of Honda Canada’s plant in Alliston isn’t the powerful machines under the hoods of its award-winning cars: it’s the associates who work there. Today, we planted an autumn blaze maple tree together to mark 40 years, and I was reminded why this place feels like family. From the people on the line to the dealers and suppliers, they look out for each other and for the community that has been their home for four decades. I even got to check out this vintage Accord, the first car off the line in 1986! A lot has changed in 40 years, but not the spirit behind it. Congratulations to everyone at Honda Canada, past and present, on your 40th anniversary.

Why is it taxpayers get tricked, while Mark Carney gets the treats? My probe in Parliament uncovered shocking details about the Prime Minister’s January trip to China, Qatar and Switzerland: $175,248 on in-flight catering in nine days as he flew off to meet with billionaires, diplomats and dictators. This is just more inexcusable waste and extravagance when families can’t afford to put food on the table.

Today in the House of Commons, we recognized four decades of continuous car-making excellence as @HondaCanadaMfg in Alliston celebrates its 40th anniversary. Congratulations to everyone at @HondaCanada, past and present, who have worked to power the dreams of so many Canadians. 🇨🇦

Congratulations to the newly-elected Mayors and Councils in @townofeg @NewTecumseth and @TownofBWG, and to those in @georginatown as well. I wish you all the best and encourage each of you to always keep the interests of your residents and taxpayers in mind in all that you do.

Working Canadians are doing everything right and still can’t afford groceries. The Liberals need to stop making life so expensive.

If the Prime Minister thinks life is so affordable, why isn't a full-time job enough to feed a family?

More Liberal government spending = more inflation = higher costs for Canadians.

Minister Joly’s uninformed comments are a slap in the face to every worker in the downstream aluminum industry whose job is at risk.

"It's just a half billion of taxpayer dollars, who cares?" 🤷‍♂️ — the Liberal government (probably).

Last week I had the opportunity to travel to Taiwan alongside fellow Canadian parliamentarians to strengthen the longstanding friendship between Canada and Taiwan. While there, we met with President Dr. Lai Ching-te, senior Taiwanese government officials, parliamentarians, business leaders, and representatives from the diplomatic, energy, aerospace, and technology sectors. They loved Gwilly over there! Conservatives will continue to strengthen ties with Taiwan as a partner in democracy, on trade and with a shared commitment to freedom and the rule of law.

BREAKING: Food Banks Canada reports food bank visits have hit another record high under Mark Carney. Up 9% in one year. After 11 years of Liberals, Canadians can't afford to put food on the table. Let’s take all taxes off food to save you money and make groceries affordable: conservative.ca/cpc/make-foo…

The same day Canada's economic outlook was downgraded, the Liberals voted against our motion to recognize that we are facing an affordability crisis. Canadians are tired of empty words and broken promises from Mark Carney and his government.

With job losses mounting and unemployment continuing to rise, the need for action has never been more urgent. A smaller share of Canadians are working or looking for work than at any time in nearly three decades. Conservatives will keep pushing for solutions to save Canadian jobs and restore hope for all workers.

Suzanne and I are saddened to learn of the incident at CFB Wainwright. I know the entirety of York-South Simcoe offers our full support to everyone at the base and the wider community, as well as to our military and the first responders. As we await further details regarding this tragic situation, our thoughts are with everyone affected.

Canadians can't find work. Everything is more expensive. Housing, healthcare, and much more are unattainable for too many. And now Mark Carney wants to increase immigration to Canada. Insanity.

I stood up in the House of Commons repeatedly yesterday and asked the Carney Liberals: "are we in an affordability crisis?" Every single time they refused to answer. Canadians can see it in the headlines and feel it in the checkout line. So why won't the Liberals admit it? Conservatives will keep fighting to save you money, save Canadian jobs, and restore the promise that hard work gets you ahead.

My hearty congratulations to Marc as he celebrates his retirement after 21 years of serving MPs and Canadians in the House of Commons. I had to surprise him in the lunchroom to extend my best wishes: guys like Marc who show up every day to do the important work that too often goes unseen should be celebrated for all their hard work. All the best, Marc! CA
