Worth following @FearghasRae who was part of the data team who helped appoint @SPocognoli15 (good article today from @Graeme_McGarry). Any data available on how good songs from the terraces benefit the teams on the pitch? 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The excellent Hampden Roar Podcast back on Twitter 👏
NEW ACCOUNT 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👋 After the unfortunate hack and due to Twitter's awful customer service, defeat has been admitted and there is now a new account for the Hampden Roar pod here. Any RTS, shares, replies etc hugely appreciated to try and rebuild the page to the following it had 🤞

So………. A song for Pocognoli? Time to get the thinking caps on. But crucially we’re going to have to adapt the John McGinn song. Do we replace “Steve Clarke’s man” with “Big Seb’s man” or add an extra syllable with “Pocognoli’s man”. Huge decisions 😂

Happy Retirement Craig Gordon. An absolute legend of a keeper and will be sorely missed by all of the Tartan Army 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

7 - England have been eliminated every time they have faced a top 10 ranked nation in the knockout stages of the FIFA World Cup since 1998 (7/7). Obstacle.

For those wishing to extend the song out, the AR-GEN-TINA chant in between can chart a history as follows: MA-RA-DONNA PEARCE-AND-WADDLE AR-GEN-TINA RO-NAL-DINHO POR-TU-GAL DOD-GY-LINESMAN COS-TA-RICA LU-KA-MODRIC ALLEZ-LES-BLUES Just to keep a chant going… #englandargentina

To anyone meaning about Scots not supporting England the response is simple.Ask them what their club team is, then ask if they’d support their biggest rivals in the CL final. If it’s a no, point made. If it’s yes, stop talking to them immediately -they don’t know football 🇦🇷

I think the @ScottishFA know this already but an important criteria for any future @ScotlandNT manager is that they have a name that lends itself to a good song. Let me know if you need any input, lads 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Excellent analysis as always from @johnwalker_1986. The draw we got is not an excuse for blindly accepting two defeats to the higher ranked teams. We need to be able to punch above our weight and have a go at these tournaments and in three tournaments have failed to do so
Was Scotland's Group Just Too Hard? Delighted to be invited on to BBC Radio Scotland's Lunch-time Show. Was our Group Draw just too difficult and this is the reality of what we faced? Steve Clarke mentioned the fact Scotland (41) faced 2 Top-10 Fifa Ranked Nations in Brazil (5th) and Morocco (6th). There have been positive results at this tournament with Nations further apart than us: - (8) Portugal 1-1 DR Congo (46) - (3) Spain 0-0 Cape Verde (64) - (24) Ecuador 0-0 Curacao (82) Brazil only won 8 of 18 in Qualifying and finished on the same points as Uruguay & Paraguay who we would probably have then expected us to get a point. Better level of coaching and tactical detail has allowed those nations above close the gap & I feel the attitude of "Oh well, we had Brazil & Morocco" is not good enough.

Hey @fckoeln , the Germans and Scots are pals, right? Can you please remind @DFB_Team_EN that this isn’t a practice match and we need them to score a few goals and finish this game off? Many thanks, your pals from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

One of the big annoyances of the tournament (and there were a few…) is that our set pieces were so predictable. Every single corner trying to recreate the Shankland Denmark goal. Why hasn’t that been worked on for the last month?

I’m suggesting a 3-5-1-1 tonight Dykes McT Robbo McGinn Ferguson McLean BGD McKenna Hanley Hendry Gunn Defensively solid Midfield solid (McLean for Christie is deserved) Attack down the wings McT nowhere near his own half (he was way too deep v Morocco) Big man up top Boom 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This is tight as hell unless we do the business ourselves
All groups have now played their first 2 matches. For the next 5 days, the final two games in each group will kick off simultaneously, starting with Bosnia & Herzegovina’s group tonight at 8pm, before Scotland play at 11pm. Five third-placed teams are on three points so far.

1000 followers! We made it! Although this is tinged with the self awareness of meeting a 32 pointer earlier and him reacting to me telling him it was me that did this and him then saying “oh….. that was you…” 😂 It’s not for everyone, I get it Stevie, you were a legend 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Right, my thoughts on a team for Morocco (3-5-1-1?) Gunn Hendry Hanley KT BGD Fergie Christie McGinn Robbo McTominay Shankland Solid defence, gives width, flood the midfield, someone to score a chance (tell him not to cross the halfway line) Thoughts?
