Congress is about to treat America's lead in AI like a liability. That's a mistake. Fresh off their midterm wins, Democrats are already lining up a "flood" of AI bills for January. Reuters reports the plans include mandatory independent testing of advanced models, new liability rules for AI companies, and data-center restrictions framed around electricity costs. Rep. Greg Casar has already said AI executives should be called to testify under oath. Oversight isn't the problem. Timing and direction are. The U.S. is in a real race with China, and Beijing is not pausing to haul its engineers before committees or write liability rules for technology that's still being invented. Every month spent tying up American labs in hearings, subpoenas and compliance work is a month competitors get to close the gap. The data-center fight is the clearest example. Power is the bottleneck for AI. If we slow the buildout here, the compute goes somewhere else, and so do the jobs, the talent and the leverage.

I’m French. I want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you. I come from your future. In France we did everything your progressive politicians promise. Free healthcare, free college, generous welfare, strong unions, heavy regulation, high taxes on the rich, a state that takes care of everything. Public spending close to 57% of GDP, one of the highest on the planet. On paper, it’s the dream. Here’s what it looks like from the inside. France hasn’t passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is above 3,300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the biggest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are collapsing despite record funding. Our schools rank lower every year. Young people with degrees can’t afford an apartment in the city they were born in. Our best engineers leave for London, Zurich and San Francisco. And the rich you wanted to tax? They left too, and took the jobs with them. The promise was protection. The result is stagnation. The worst part is that nobody in France voted for decline. Every single step sounded generous, compassionate, reasonable. One more program. One more regulation. One more tax to fund it. Each step alone makes sense. Fifty years of them, and you wake up in a country that can no longer build a nuclear plant on time or keep its streets safe. I love America because it’s the one place on earth where people still believe they can build something from nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most precious thing your country has. Before you vote, ask yourself one question: is the program you’re voting for making America more like America, or more like France? Trust me. You don’t want to be France.
On a ri.

Thomas Sowell spent decades documenting what the Great Society actually did to black American families, and the evidence is brutal if you're willing to read it honestly. In 1960, before Lyndon Johnson signed a single piece of Great Society legislation, roughly 22% of black children lived in single-parent homes. By 1980, that number had climbed past 50%. By 1995, it was near 70%. Slavery didn't produce those numbers. Jim Crow didn't produce those numbers. A federal welfare apparatus that penalized marriage, rewarded dependency, and treated fathers as financial liabilities produced those numbers. The Aid to Families with Dependent Children program (AFDC) made a man's presence in the household a disqualifying factor for benefits. Washington literally paid women to be unmarried and paid them more for each additional child. You design incentives, you get outcomes. This is not complicated. Sowell's deeper point, the one that gets buried, is that black family stability was actually improving before federal intervention accelerated. Black poverty rates fell sharply between 1940 and 1960, before the Great Society existed. Black entrepreneurship, fraternal organizations, and two-parent households were all trending in the right direction under conditions that Great Society architects later described as hopeless. The War on Poverty didn't rescue a broken community; it interrupted a recovery. Free market thinkers from Sowell to Walter Williams explained that price floors on labor (minimum wage laws), urban renewal projects that bulldozed black business districts in cities like Cincinnati and Atlanta, and the school assignment systems that trapped poor children in failing institutions all compounded the welfare trap systematically. Each intervention generated a problem that justified the next intervention. Government failure reliably became the argument for more government. The cruelty here is structural. Politicians got votes. Bureaucrats got budgets. Social workers got caseloads. And three generations of children grew up without fathers in the home, with all the documented downstream effects on education, incarceration, and earnings that researchers have been tracking ever since. Everyone in that system got what they wanted except the people the system claimed to serve.

When Bill Maher — a guy who’s never been a Trump fan — is basically making a daily case against what 2026 Democrats stand for… You know things have gone completely off the rails. When even the left’s own critics start sounding the alarm, it’s bad.

David Friedberg warns that Mamdani and fellow socialists frame their assaults on private property as moral justice against “evil” landlords and the wealthy. This is one of the best breakdowns on Mamdani and the Democratic Socialists I've seen. Must watch! Friedberg: “This idea that you can then claim acts of violence—that you can then claim circumstances of extraordinary, extravagant wealth and say to that individual, ‘I now have a right—the government has a right—to take your private property’ ultimately leads to this tyrannical form. And it starts out as being anarchic because, remember, anarchy is a temporary state—it’s always between one state and another. All anarchies end up in tyranny. Groups of people fighting each other. They’re all stealing **** from each other. Everyone just goes and takes and gets what they want, and eventually people coalesce. They form groups, and those groups become the more powerful groups. And the powerful groups end up winning. And they become the tyranny over the mass. And that is why all anarchies eventually evolve into tyranny. So anarchy and tyranny are one and the same. And fundamentally what’s going on with these socialist principles is that we are taking your private property, and you no longer have rights to your private property—whether you are a landlord or whether you are a wealthy person that we’ve deemed to have too much wealth. We now have the rights to come in and take your property and control it and take it from you. And it always starts with this framing of moralistic intent: ‘We are good and you are bad for the following reason. You have committed violence against the people; in your building you have taken too much wealth. And none of us have wealth. We have a right to go and take your wealth from you.’ It has always started from this point of view that you are bad. So the first framing is that the private property owner is evil and that the private property owner has committed an act of injustice against those who don’t have the private property, and that is the justification for taking away their private property rights. And it is the beginning of this transition towards a tyrannical system which will ultimately be what I call this kind of great American Politburo or whatever socialist framework gets set up by the cabal of the socialists and what they’re trying to put together. So all of these little acts, while seeming ridiculous and insane and inappropriate, in aggregate are the same thing. They are the transitioning away from private property rights, which is the foundation of the United States of America. That’s why I think we should all be so shocked. And to the point of John Quincy Adams’s point, we need to vehemently defend those rights. As soon as those rights start to slip away, even in the tiniest way, it is a cascading effect and everything will become tyrannical. And it will be very ugly in the United States of America.”

In the spirit of designating every minority enclave of the city, I'm officially renaming my district 'Little America'. Here we welcome refugees from the rest of the city who want to live amongst a culture reminiscent of the nation they once knew as The United States, which New York used to be a part of prior to January of 2026. Here in Little America we believe in private property rights, home ownership, cars, law and order, God, and the Constitution. I'm considering building a wall. Let me know if you'd like to help.

I want people to understand the enormity of what has been done to us. From day one the deep state has litigated its way into stopping the Trump administration at every turn, to date, there are over 900 lawsuits and counting. Activist organizations, blue state AGs, and uniparty allies flooding the courts on borders, deportations, EOs, military policy, you name it. This is straight color revolution tactics, American style: when Democrats lose at the ballot box, they weaponize institutions, courts, NGOs, activist judges, and use their billionaire funders to manufacture chaos, tie the elected President’s hands with endless injunctions, and grind the people’s mandate to a halt. They Flood the system with lawsuits, get friendly judges to block policy after policy, bleed out momentum while the media cheers the “resistance.” This is a classic playbook for undermining the people and the government from within without firing a shot.

The Democrats started this narrative, now mysteriously they claim no fraud exists. Funny how they then universally rallied behind vote by mail ( least secure voting method) and are against ID requirements. Can’t make this stuff up

Clearly a case that never should have been brought to trial but these are the times we live in. Curious to see if the appeals process will be as politically corrupt as the indictment & trial.

Lots of false equivalencies here, but I've come to expect no less. We never had bank robberies before there were banks. We never had rapes before there were women, and we never had murders until someone stepped in front of a gun. Whatever. If you want to know what it was a landslide election, and why you're in the minority, let me illustrate by what he's done, and they're all promises made, promises kept, and that's the first reason. He's on target to at least match Obama on deportations. The border is closed. Overdose deaths are down by 30% Fentanyl production and seizures are down. The GDP, despite Democrats' best efforts, neared 6% last year and is projected to be that in the first 6 months of this year. Prescription prices down Gas prices down Wages up Taxes down A new manufacturing facility has opened its doors every day for the past 60 days Auto manufacturing up Rent down Interest rates dropping Starter home construction up Y'all complain about the Epstein files, but nothing came out under Dem control, and it is coming out now Peace in the Middle East Peace in Cambodia Peace on Rwanda Iran regime near toppling Illegal Maduro regime ended and he's arrested Iran Nuclear weapon program destroyed 132,000 trafficked children under Biden recovered in the past year Massive fraud uncovered in Minnesota, California, New York, and others Record recruitment in the military Restructuring the Education Dept Rebuilding air traffic control infrastructure A new focus on election integrity Fewer regulations $18 trillion in outside investment A science based approach to vaccines and the food pyramid NATO contributions up to 5% Solidified our defensive capabilities in Greenland Freedom of Speech restoring Deweaponization of government agencies from the IRS to the DOJ and the FBI Rehab of our cultural heritage and structure Release of hostages across the world Tariffs and favorable trade agreements A return of pharmaceutical manufacturing in our country. Job creation for U.S. citizens And that's just off the top of my head. Try Google "Trump accomplishments in the past year. It'll take a minute to populate the list. This is what the majority of Americans voted for. I feel for you that you cannot recognize the good. It's kind of sad.
