I leaned a lot this weekend, too much really, about what is going on with asylum seeker, homeless and social housing in Ireland. In short, it is a GIANT fricking racket and if ‘the people who get up early in the morning’ understood it, they would be gutted and dumbstruck. It was disheartening to hear. I feel heartbroken for Ireland.

If an Irish person goes to New Zealand, Switzerland, Thailand, the Philippines, Denmark and many other countries they are not permitted to buy a house there.
Why?
Because when you open unrestricted home ownership to infinity international buyers you end up with locals being priced out of an overheated market.
That's what's happening here in Ireland.
If we restrict foreign ownership - just like other countries do - we can end the housing crisis overnight.
And it will cost zero.
Instead, we're on track to destroy the country with endless high density developments that the Irish people will never live in.
