Andy Burnham is right that ‘hope comes from honesty’.
That’s why Labour must make the case for rejoining the EU ⬇️

Andy Burnham, to huge applause: “The British right like to talk about take back control. Never let them forget they’re the ones who gave it away.”
Delighted that @TfL are launching this landmark pilot to explore how cleaning services could be brought in-house and delivered by a directly-employed workforce. 🚇🧼 nitter.cf/MayorofLondon/status/2…
A new comprehensive pilot exploring how @TfL can deliver cleaning services in-house will begin this week.
I’ve long championed insourcing where possible, and that of course includes our hard working and essential cleaning staff. I’m pleased that TfL is taking this important step both for customers and for the dedicated cleaning colleagues who help keep London moving.
I want to thank the RMT for their work and invaluable input.

From Hounslow to Hendon, without the detour.
The proposed West London Orbital would create a new passenger rail link, unlock 25,000+ homes, support thousands of jobs, improve air quality and help cut congestion.

Anyone who witnessed the terrible events of 9/11 unfold 25 years ago will never forget them.
Time has not faded our memory of the thousands of innocent people who were killed in the most appalling acts of terrorism - including 67 Britons, many of whom were from London.
Today London stands with the people of New York City. Those who sought to destroy our way of life have not won, and never will.
I'm delighted that every bus cab will get air conditioning, helping support the hard-working drivers who are at the heart of our transport network, day in and day out.
A real step forward for those who serve London every day. 🚍☀️
NEW: Very pleased that TfL have reached a ground-breaking agreement with @unitetheunion to provide air conditioning in every bus cab in London.
This is personal to me. I know that London’s hard-working bus drivers play a vital role.
Thank you for keeping London moving during this unprecedented summer.

ICYMI - @QMUL published a landmark report providing yet more compelling evidence that the ULEZ has been a huge success.
Findings show @SadiqKhan was right to act to ensure all Londoners benefit from cleaner air.
It's never too late to act against the effects of air pollution.
Air pollution stunts children’s lung growth. New Queen Mary research found that improvements in air quality after the introduction of London’s ULEZ are associated with accelerated lung growth in children.
