This is the country the world trusted to broker peace in Gaza.
Today Sheikh Tamim called it “a genocide in every sense of the word and a stain on the conscience of all humanity” and demanded the world “rein in” Israel’s “unlawful behavior.”
Qatar has hosted Hamas’s leadership in Doha for more than a decade. It sent billions into Hamas-run Gaza. Hamas still has not disarmed.

Hamas’s fascist militias attacked civilians in Khan Younis today, shooting, wounding, and kidnapping several, then retreated straight into the Nasser Hospital Medical Complex, where they’ve built torture rooms and interrogation chambers in full view of UN agencies and international NGOs. And still, the “pro‑Palestine” industrial complex won’t say a word. Not Hasan Piker, not the DSA, not SJP or AMP, not the activist mobs, influencers, journalists, Hollywood names, singers, members of Congress, or Senate candidates. None of them will touch the fact that Palestinians are being brutalized by Palestinian oppressors like Islamist terrorists such as Hamas, throughout Gaza and especially inside Gaza’s hospitals - because for them, Palestinian lives only seem to matter when Jewish Israelis are involved. Tell the truth - is that not the case? Am I wrong?

La prise de conscience est pénible, surtout après trois ans où la plupart des médias ont pris pour argent comptant tout ce qui disait le Hamas. Ainsi, l'article de Libé, qui reconnait enfin qu'une partie des journalistes palestiniens tués à Gaza était en fait des membres du Hamas, se termine étrangement : il reprend sans crier gare des chiffres d'une étude semblant établir que les affirmations du Hamas sur le ratio des morts combattants-civils sont confirmées, alors même qu'il n'y a pas de lien avec le sujet de l'article sauf pour laisser entendre que bon, il y a eu des erreurs, mais c'est pas si grave parce qu'Israël reste génocidaire... On n'est donc pas encore rendu, même s'il faut saluer cet article.
Les quelques questions que l'on devrait se poser pour se faire une idée précise de la réalité de la liberté de la presse à Gaza sont celles-ci : peut-on être journaliste dans une théocratie totalitaire ou n'est-on qu'un élément de sa machine de propagande et dès lors une cible légitime ? En particulier, y a-t-il eu un journaliste palestinien qui ait jamais révélé des faits qui déplaisaient au Hamas ? Y a-t-il eu un seul journaliste ayant couvert le 7/10 qui a raconté les horreurs qui venaient d'être commises par les islamistes ? Un seul journaliste a-t-il raconté autre chose que la propagande du Hamas durant le conflit ?
Evidemment, poser ces questions, c'est prendre le risque de remettre en cause la couverture du conflit par la plupart des médias occidentaux qui ont repris sans guère de recul les informations provenant de journalistes palestiniens dont l'indépendance n'a jamais été établie, tout en écartant comme non fiable tout ce que disait Israël, pourtant une démocratie. Ainsi, il y a plus d'articles dans la presse pour examiner la véracité des affirmations du gouvernement israélien, notamment sur ce qui s'est passé le 7/10, que d'articles se penchant sur la véracité des informations délivrées par le Hamas.
Ce qui est sidérant est que l'on en soit là, alors même que l'on a une longue expérience de la liberté de la presse en milieu totalitaire, ce qui aurait dû amener les médias (les ONG, je n'en parle même pas) à prendre avec de très longues pincettes toutes les informations provenant de Gaza au lieu de les amplifier sans vérification préalable (ration de morts combattants/civils, accusation de génocide, famine organisée, etc.).

Arafat backed Saddam’s rape of Kuwait.
Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians paid for it in blood and exile.
The world never cared and has completely forgotten.
Arafat went to Baghdad and stood publicly with Saddam after the invasion. In January 1991, he rallied the mob: if the Americans want war, “then I say welcome, welcome, welcome to war… Iraq and Palestine… [will stand] together, side by side.”
When the Americans struck, Saddam fired Scuds at Tel Aviv while the United States forced Israel to absorb the attacks on its civilians without responding.
Under Iraqi occupation, Kuwaitis were systematically raped (thousands of women), tortured with electric drills and acid, hanged, beaten, and executed. The country was stripped bare.
Palestinians in Kuwait were widely viewed as collaborators. After liberation, Kuwait expelled them. A community of roughly 350,000–400,000 was reduced by about 90% within months. More than 300,000 were thrown out of the country.
And yet, there were no endless UN resolutions.
No academic industry of “Nakba” books.
No campus protests.
No media saturation calling it ethnic cleansing.
Arafat later claimed what Kuwait did was “worse than what Israel did.”
The world shrugged.
A massive, deliberate expulsion of Palestinians by an Arab state (carried out against the entire community regardless of any alleged collaboration) happened in full view of the modern world. The response was total silence.
The same people who turn every consequence of Arab-initiated wars against Jews into the eternal crime of the century treated this one as if it never happened.
That is the real hierarchy of refugee suffering.
That is the lie at the heart of eternal Palestinian victimhood.
It’s not about concern for Palestinian lives. It’s about demonizing and delegitimizing the world’s only Jewish state.
