The Baganda have a powerful saying: “Gy’ova toyombye, gy’otera okudda.” Loosely translated: “Where you leave without quarrelling is where you are most likely to return.” I was honoured to receive a courtesy visit from my former colleagues at the Buganda Media Centre, @BugandaMedia who came to express their appreciation for the work we accomplished together over the past three years and to wish me well in my next chapter. It was a thoughtful gesture and a reminder that beyond the titles we hold and the offices we occupy, it is the relationships we build and the impact we leave behind that truly matter. Life has a way of bringing us back to people, places and institutions we once left behind. Leaving a place does not require destroying relationships, and moving on does not mean making enemies. Your character is not only measured by how you enter a room, but also by how you leave it. To my colleagues at the Buganda Media Centre, thank you for the journey, the memories and the friendship. The chapter may have closed, but the relationships remain.

As a person who has allowed myself to begin again many times (and I mean absolute do overs), BEGIN AGAIN. The shame is in your head.

Replying to @URAuganda
@URAuganda seems determined to choke the best businesses. Serious countries like India and China actively support and even subsidise technology transfer. That’s how they’ve become the biggest pharma producers and exporters
QCIL LOSES UGX6.02 BILLION VAT BATTLE WITH URA Quality Chemicals Industries Limited (QCIL) has lost its challenge against a UGX6.02 billion VAT assessment linked to technology and licensing services supplied by Cipla. The Tax Appeals Tribunal ruled that the services were separate imported services subject to VAT, despite being used to manufacture zero-rated medicines. QCIL was also ordered to pay costs.
