We were proud to welcome the Brookfield and New Milford girls softball teams to the Capitol this week! After Brookfield won the Class L title in June, the two teams went to the UConn Dairy Bar together for ice cream. That's real sportsmanship. Congrats on an incredible season!

I'm proud to have helped support $900,000 in Community Investment Funding for the historic mill at 245 E. Elm St. in Torrington! It'll soon be home to a grocery store and an indoor recreation center and event space. This will bring new jobs and real reinvestment to Torrington!
It was an honor to host a Wartime Service Medal Ceremony at New Milford High School recognizing those who served our nation. It was especially meaningful to have a World War II veteran with us. Thank you to my fellow legislators and Mayor Pete Bass for helping honor our heroes.
