More chairs!
Couldn’t sleep last night so started CADing with Claude Code.
Check out the Clamp Chair. 100% @sendcutsend parts.
Really want this for myself. I have a vice but I always struggle to hold flat parts horizontally for cutting

The 2026 American Dynamism 50 is here: our annual list of 50 companies, from within the a16z portfolio and beyond, building for America's future.
This year's theme is Production is Deterrence. "America's ability to prevent conflict depends on what it can build, how fast it can deliver, and how long it can keep going."
A new generation of defense companies is moving from prototypes to full-scale production, and the industrial base has to keep pace. This year's list is organized around three pillars:
1. Systems: the drones, ships, missiles, aircraft, and spacecraft that deter conflict.
2. Factories: the plants, tools, and software that build them.
3. Inputs: the materials and power they're made of and run on.
Get all three right, and the impact reaches well beyond defense, to skilled jobs, revitalized communities, and the supply chains behind energy, housing, and everyday goods.

SendCutSend went from a hobby to making 50 million metal parts per year. It just raised another $140 million to keep expanding.
I spent a couple of days with its founder @jimbelosic at the Reno headquarters and factories and his childhood home. Big ole story on what I discovered right here - corememory.com/p/sendcutsend…

5 key takeaways from our most recent engineering video on anodizing:
Anodizing isn't a coating. It's an electrochemical process that changes the surface of aluminum by growing a thicker oxide layer.
Aluminum naturally oxidizes. When exposed to oxygen, aluminum immediately forms a thin protective oxide layer that helps prevent further corrosion.
Electricity drives the anodizing process. By placing aluminum in an electrolyte bath and applying electrical current, we can grow a much thicker, more controlled oxide layer.
The oxide layer allows for color. Anodizing creates a porous surface that can absorb dyes. A sealing process then helps lock in the color.
Anodizing improves aluminum's performance. The thicker oxide layer provides better corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and electrical insulation while also allowing for cosmetic finishes.

“🔥 15 tests. 15 successful lights. 🔥
Our new methane/oxygen spark igniter for the Lyra engine successfully lit on its very first attempt and has now completed 15 successful tests.
Lyra will power Vertigo, our next competition rocket for the 2026-2027 FAR-OUT season.
One step closer to flight.”
