The interesting thing about @FungoLabs isn't just how its Genesis auction works.
It's what the auction reveals about the project.
A sealed-bid auction means participants can compete without exposing their bids while the sale is open.
But Fungo is applying a similar privacy-first philosophy to NFTs themselves.
Artwork can remain sealed.
Certain attributes stay encrypted.
The holder controls what gets revealed.
All powered by @zama's FHE technology.
And now, with the Genesis mint scheduled for November 5, the project is bringing this idea into an actual NFT sale.

How the Genesis sealed-bid auction works, explained with an example π
Imagine only 3 NFTs for sale. Minimum price: 500 cZAMA (example only).
4 people bid 1 NFT each:
β A: 3,000
β B: 1,500
β C: 1,000
β D: 500 (the minimum)
The top 3 bids win: A, B and C.
All winners pay the same final price, the lowest winning bid: 1,000.
β A pays 1,000, gets 2,000 back.
β B pays 1,000, gets 500 back.
β C pays 1,000.
β D bid the minimum, gets no NFT, gets 500 back.
Lesson: bidding the minimum doesn't mean you buy at the minimum. Bid what it's worth to you, you'll only pay the final price.
