iPhone Duo first generation looks like a finished product you'd see in a commercial. Samsung's first generation looked like a science project that got a C+. Apple waited until they could ship something perfect. Samsung shipped the moment they had something that folded and prayed nobody looked too close. Look at the video. First gen iPhone foldable vs first gen Samsung foldable side by side. One looks like the future. The other looks like it belongs in a museum of failed experiments. Samsung had an 8 year head start and still got lapped on day one. That's not bad luck. That's bad engineering.
