echoing this sentiment and adding my own musings;
creating art is more than just a “product” it is an expression of the context in which it was created — the context being YOU and what encapsulates your existence. Learning how to express that takes a lot of trial and error and vulnerability that you simply cannot experience if you never look inward and ask it of yourself.
this is a very flowery way of saying that being an artist in any capacity is as simple as loving it and participating in it.
do the art, don’t AI-prompt it; be willing to learn so you can appreciate it more and share that passion with others
do it because you deserve to discover yourself, and an AI that cuts that process out to aggrandize the user and drive more people to use it will never be able to feel the way you do about anything
Good morning, just some morning thoughts before we prep for stream!
One of the lesser touched issues with AI in creative spaces is that it's become less acceptable to just be bad at something.
You can't make good art before struggling through the swamp of learning through the bad and discovering yourself. Post that sketch or writing prompt or singing blurb. The joy of creating and improving isn't something that can be replaced with AI. I would value one person's first creative foray ever over a million AI prompts.
