I believe humans have a deep need to believe in something greater than themselves. When what you believe in fails you, your world comes crashing down in a crisis of faith. To get out of that hole, you must find something to believe in.

This beauty is a peacock leopard Appaloosa horse, with a unique and extraordinary coat.
Her ancestry traces back to ancestors once bred and cared for by the Nez Perce Indians, famous for selecting this versatile and distinctive breed.

On Opening Day 1976, this photo was taken of Apollo 11 astronaut and National Air and Space Museum director Michael Collins taking a quiet moment to review his notes for the day.
This morning, on our 50th anniversary, we recreated that photo with current director Chris Browne.

Dear Lush (cc Chelmsford City Council),
As a woman who had half a breast removed last year due to cancer, I am writing to raise my concerns about your “Proud of My Stripes” window display.
I am also, on behalf of other women who have experienced breast cancer, respectfully requesting its removal.
Because mastectomies are not a fashion statement, an identity marker or something to be celebrated.
They are something women undergo because they are ill, because they are frightened, because they are trying to stay alive.
Around 59,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year. Many will undergo surgery - a mastectomy, lumpectomy or other procedure.
Others choose preventive mastectomies because they carry a high-risk BRCA gene mutation.
If a woman chooses to have her breasts removed to affirm a gender identity, that is her personal choice.
I honestly don’t know the number of women who have elective mastectomies for this reason.
What I do know is that it is a tiny number compared with those for whom breast surgery is medically necessary and not something to be celebrated.
I think I speak for many women who have experienced breast cancer - and for their families - when I say this:
Breast removal surgery is not something I regard as cute, playful or empowering.
Nor is it something I believe retailers should be celebrating.
For that reason, I am requesting that the display be removed and that @ChelmsCouncil apologise for promoting it on social media.
Yours sincerely,
Janet Murray

Reminder that before being ‘elected’ US Senator, John Hickenlooper said he didn’t want to be a US Senator and that he wouldn’t be good at it.
And now, he’s running for re-election as a US Senator.
And the Colorado media will keep letting him get away with it.

66-year-old Irene Vermaak, who had lived alone on her property between Devon and Endicott in Gauteng since her husband died nine years earlier, was brutally murdered in her own farm house. Her body was discovered in November 2015 lying in a massive pool of blood by a concerned neighbor.
The details are sickening. Irene's throat was slit in a vicious, up-close execution. She was left to bleed out like an animal in the very home she should have been safe in. The attack occurred between 17:00 and 19:00 that evening. No further specifics on stolen items were widely reported, but the sheer brutality speaks for itself; another defenseless elderly White woman slaughtered in the ongoing genocide.
These attacks on lone White widows and pensioners are no coincidence. They are enabled by the ANC's refusal to stop dehumanizing White South Africans, their ongoing incitement against us by continuously referring to "stolen" land, while enacting racist laws and allowing "Kill the Boer" incitement. The monsters know these elderly White victims are soft targets.
Irene Vermaak was a grieving widow who deserved peace in her later years, not this barbaric end.

Sober Birthday Today! 🎉
Twenty-one years ago today, I ended my relationship with alcohol
It was poisoning me. It was deceiving me. It was controlling me
I was addicted to a dangerous companion that held a power over my life I didn’t fully recognize. Alcohol is often referred to as “spirits,” and for many, it can lead into places of darkness, despair, and self-destruction
One morning, while sober and deeply dissatisfied with the reflection staring back at me, I looked into the mirror and made a life-changing decision. Instead of turning to alcohol, I turned to Spirit
I meditatively prayed:
“I am listening. Guide me. I am ready to change. I am ready for healing, purpose, and happiness”
With unwavering determination, faith, and guidance through God’s Word, I chose a different path
I confided in only a handful of trusted people as I began my journey. Some friends and even family members stopped inviting me out because I was no longer their “drinking party girl.” There were moments of temptation. There were tests and challenges. But I refused to return to the darkness, recklessness, and emptiness I had left behind
I took it one day at a time, moment to moment
Just four months later, I had lost 19 pounds, was exercising four days a week, and had started a small business. I looked and felt damn good ya’ll! More importantly, I had reclaimed my life
And I have remained sober ever since
I did it! ❤️
If sharing my story helps even one person who is struggling with addiction, then it is worth telling
Today, I pray for everyone fighting the battle of addiction—the demonic winnable war within
May God speak to your heart, and may you have the courage to listen
There is hope. There is healing. There is freedom
One. Day. At. A. Time. 🙏🏾🪷

I want to introduce you to Steve. He’s 83. His wife died a few months ago and he comes to this lodge in Spring Mill, Indiana and draws. He taught art in Terre Haute, IN his whole life. He also did courtroom sketches in court cases. In the comments I’ll share some pics from his sketchbook. He was excited when I said I was going to share his sketches with the world.

UK police MANHANDLE five year-old boy and toss him in the back of a police car while they arrest his father.
In my opinion, this was a bit much and a bit brutal for that child.
Then one of the officers tells the man recording that he’s going to seize his phone.
Thoughts?
Wow
Today, I’m releasing never before seen intelligence revealing new evidence of past US government funding for more than 120 biolabs in over 30 countries, including Ukraine.
In support of President Trump‘s Executive Order to end federal funding of dangerous gain of function research around the world, and increase transparency and accountability, ODNI will continue working with partners across the Administration to identify where these labs are, what pathogens they contain, and what “research” is being conducted.

Hospitals are the worst places to get rest, but Yolanda had a pretty good, uneventful night. They took her off the morphine yesterday afternoon and are now using NORCO, and her pain IS controlled with one half the dosage. The pancreatitis is calming down. And her AST, ALT, and alkaline phosphatase are all trending DOWN. Her bilirubin has stabilized and should start decreasing soon. 🙏
Thank you for all of your prayers and support. ❤️
THREAD: My wife, Yolanda, is fighting for her life. We need your help. 🧵
Over five years. Stage 4 colon cancer. Metastasized to her liver. Now her lungs.
Over 100 rounds of chemotherapy. Five surgeries — including a brutal 10-hour operation and a 3 am emergency surgery at 3 am (last September), where a trauma surgeon gave her a 70% chance of never leaving the table.
She proved them wrong.

Can anyone explain why Muslim men are so obsessed with sex? They apparently think about it non-stop; they claim they must cage their women in yards of cloth so as to be able to function without being overcome with sexual desire. Why are Muslim men so weak?
Western men don’t need to hide from the sight of women’s bodies; Western women lead normal, fulfilling lives, and this is part of why the West is technologically, scientifically, culturally, and morally superior to Islam.
What is the flaw in Muslim men that makes them so incapable of sexual self control? They have had to cripple their entire society because of this weakness, locking women away and preventing them from making any meaningful contribution outside the home. And we see the results. The less self-control that a group of Muslim men have, the more they restrict and abuse women — the worse their societies become.
Look at Afghanistan, for example. Women there are no better than slaves, and the country itself is a hellhole for everyone but the Taliban leadership — all because the men there are apparently such perverts that even the sound of a woman’s footsteps is enough to cause them to lose themselves in sin.
The lesson is obvious: the worse a society treats its women, the more likely that society is to fail.
So why, then, are Muslim men so slow to grasp this concept? What is it that makes them incapable of the self-control which Western men and boys exhibit every day without thinking twice? What is it about Islam that makes men so obsessed with sex that half of society has to hide itself away so that they can function?
It’s bizarre — and frankly, it’s pathetic that grown men cannot take responsibility for their own thoughts and actions.
It’s also beyond hypocrisy for Muslims to lecture Westerners on morality. Your morals are so weak that you use the sight of a woman’s face — the existence of women, and even little girls — as a justification for male sin. Shame on you. Be men. Take responsibility for your own thoughts, and stop acting like a bunch of pathetic children.

More refugees on their way this week to the Land of the free and the home of the brave.
