Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has fired the Pentagon's top military planner, a Pentagon official told CBS News late Wednesday.
Army Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia is the latest in a series of generals to be ousted. The firing comes even as President Trump is weighing renewed strikes on Iran in the eight-month-long war.
The Pentagon official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive personnel matters, said Sylvia was accused of misconduct for leaking classified information related to the Iran war and the Russia-Ukraine war.
Sylvia failed three polygraph tests about sharing classified information with the press, the official said, adding that the case has been referred to the Department of Justice.

Reese's Pieces have no chocolate in them. The peanuts had their oil pressed out and a cheaper fat put back in.
Sugar is first, then partially defatted peanuts, then hydrogenated palm kernel and soybean oil, then corn syrup solids. Everything after that is 2% or less, and it's the dyes, the glaze, some vanillin and a little milk. There's no cocoa anywhere.
Partially defatted just means the peanuts went through a press. The peanut oil comes out one side and gets sold as peanut oil. What's left is a dry peanut flour, and that's what the center is made from, because flour holds a shape in a panning drum and doesn't go rancid. Then they put fat back in, and the fat they picked is hydrogenated palm kernel oil, which is solid at room temperature and costs less than peanut oil. You can see the swap on the panel. 38 pieces have 6 g of fat and all 6 are saturated. Peanut oil is mostly unsaturated, so that number isn't the peanut.
The shell is sugar with 4 dyes and a coat of shellac.

In a “how-to” article, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) provided a roadmap for how hospitals across the U.S. can increase vaccination rates in children by injecting them while under anesthesia for a medical procedure.
Children’s Hospital Colorado has vaccinated over 18,000 kids under anesthesia and Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania has vaccinated nearly 2,000, the AAP wrote.

Security Alert: U.S. Mission Saudi Arabia (October 28, 2026)
Effective October 23, 2026, the Department of State ordered non-emergency U.S. government employees and U.S. government employee family members to leave Saudi Arabia due to safety risks.
Iranian-supported Houthis have engaged in hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including attacks on civilian airports and other critical infrastructure resulting in civilian casualties and severe travel disruptions. The hostilities have the potential to escalate rapidly beyond that immediate area.
U.S. government employees working in Saudi Arabia require special authorization from Chief of Mission to use any airport in Saudi Arabia following recent missile and UAV attacks on airports in the Kingdom.
- King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh announced a partial reopening as of October 23 for domestic flights and some international flights operated by national carriers. A limited number of flights normally based at RUH are operating out of Qassim-based Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport (ELQ).
- Operations at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah (JED) are operational with some delays and cancellations.
- Operations at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam (DMM) are operational with some delays and cancellations.
U.S. citizens should be aware of potential attacks on airports, airspace closures, flight cancellations, and travel disruptions. 🚨 BREAKING: Hackers are hitting banks in 7 countries at the same time.
This is what Covid looked like in week 1. A few countries. Small numbers. Nobody called it a crisis.
1/ South Korea: hackers used a Chinese AI tool to break into at least 7 financial firms. 68,000 people's data stolen. 16 firms breached by mid-October. This week Daishin Securities reported 38,490 customers' data leaked, bank account numbers included.
2/ Latin America: one gang ran AI agents built on Claude, Grok and Kimi against 400+ targets, banks and payment firms included. They stole passwords and got into customer bank accounts.
3/ Italy: a fake WhatsApp from "the CEO" and an AI-cloned voice got Intesa Sanpaolo's private bank to send out €95 million. €36 million is still MISSING, turned into crypto.
4/ India: small lenders lost ₹300 crore (about $31 million) in 2 months. 150 cases. Hackers copied bank logins and sent the money out as fake loans. One firm was hit twice.
5/ Crypto: $351 million drained from Bitget's hot wallets. North Korean hackers are suspected.
6/ Japan: hackers hit GMO Internet's currency trading service and demanded $50 million in crypto. The prime minister promised an emergency anti-cyberattack package.
7/ Australia: the regulator warns AI attacks put more than A$4.5 trillion in retirement savings in the firing line. Government cyber alerts jumped 80% in a year.
Now zoom out.
AI hacking tools are now easy to get. Smaller firms have weak security. The money moves in minutes. It jumps across banks, through rented accounts, out as cash or crypto. The bosses are often abroad.
Covid locked the streets. Nobody is calling this a crisis yet. But the central banks already plan for the day the hackers get in.
The G7 agreed to run drills that simulate AI attacks on banks. The ECB reportedly gave eurozone banks 4 months to hand in their defence plans.

The neighborhood is Magnolia Cove in Sherrills Ford, Catawba County NC.
Jill Menson and her husband bought their house believing it would be their LAST home and five years ago, their HOA fee was $158 a month.
This summer it shot up to more than $1,200.
Plus a $10,000 ASSESSMENT on top of that.
On Monday night, the HOA board voted to raise fees AGAIN, from $1,250 to $2,500 a month.
That’s nearly SIXTEEN TIMES what they paid five years ago.
And the meeting?
It was held over ZOOM.
Menson says they’ll be forced out with nowhere to go, because no one will buy a house carrying fees like that.
So they went to the state for help.
The North Carolina Attorney General’s office told Channel 9 there are NO STATUTES limiting how much an HOA can charge.
None.
As long as the board follows its own documents, it can charge whatever it wants.

Okay, note #2. We don't need clinical research on myocarditis, auto-immune, tinnitus, cancer. Those happen everyday.
WE NEED A TEST TO TELL US IF THE VACCINE ANTIGEN IS IN THE BODY AND ORGANS. I have sent blood to Italy but now what? I have done 6+ months of LabCorp antibody tests that are high. But everyone says "so what" those mean nothing. I am about to send my blood to Japan for McCairn assessment and to a private lab in Illinois for S1 test - but can't find a phlebotomist. These tests are hundreds of dollars. No doctors I see even admit a problem much less would approve a vaccine antigen test.
My spike antibody levels were elevated after 12 bags of transfused blood last Fall. Some were shed on. WHAT TEST DO THEY USE?
And my Mom is DEAD. Died suddenly. The coroner had no test to run. The Wyoming State Pathologist had no test for vaccine toxicity. Sudden cardiac event for no reason. I demanded an ultrasound but family balked because NO ONE IS SAYING THE VACCINE KILLS. Now her tissues are gone after the required waiting period expired.
And we need scans for the white fibrous unnatural clots being found by embalmers.
I want to enroll and get tested. I am being treated by medical professionals for my anemia (hemotologist), another for my retinal detachment, another for bleeding ulcers (GI), another for autoimmune (well, no Endocrinologist local so have to drive to San Francisco which is difficult as I am alone), an orthopedic specialist for my torn rotator, and finally another for my DEPRESSION from being abused by the medical system and family.
I need DETOX that works. So far nothing has although without tests how do I know? I just still feel unhealthy and tired.
If I get cancer @Enloe just opened fancy new cancer center in Chico so YAY! ALTHOUGH THEY ARE GIVING FREE FLU SHOTS TODAY. I CANNOT TRUST ANYONE.
