Last week, we were happy to launch the SheFi Ukraine 🇺🇦 chapter! Learn what it takes to build in web3 during the wartime and despite uncertainty ⤵️
❤️🔥 "Ukrainians didn't choose to be brave, but now it's the way of life," - @DariaStrategy, the @decent_voices author, opened the space reflecting on the creativity and proactivity of Ukrainians who keep innovating no matter what.
She shared how @shefiorg led by @maggielove_ helps women grow skills and networks, turning challenges into leadership.
🧑💻 "People here learn, share, and create for the joy of it," - @dzmarusia, co-founder and COO of @forest_ai_, spoke about the spirit of web3: curiosity and collaboration.
In 2022, Maria had to start her life from scratch in a new country. Now, she's part of the global community but stays connected to Ukraine’s tech scene.
🪙 "Stablecoins is the big thing, and they are changing lives in Argentina and Turkey, and will change the global payment system," - @0xt0n1, CTO at @m0, brought the tech perspective on stablecoins and DeFi.
Antonina also noted that while community tribalism exists in crypto, education makes it easier than ever to join and build.
💬 "Empathy and attention to detail are what make people trust you," - @ohdatskate, BD & Sales Lead at @sideshiftai, reminded us that relationships are everything, especially in crypto BD.
In the onchain space, real human connection still wins. Kate found her new job through her network and knows this from the firsthand.
🎯 The discussion proved: Ukrainian women don’t just adapt, they lead. They code, manage, sell, and inspire in an industry that’s still finding its balance.
Web3 isn’t just about tech. It’s about resilience, community, and shared purpose. It's something Ukrainians know by heart💙💛
🎄 Last night in Warsaw ⤵️
🎈 “It’s like a baby shower, but for web3!”
🎄 “The best Christmas party for remote workers”
🎉 “Feels like a birthday party”
That’s the kind of feedback we received at our second @shefiorg gathering in Warsaw 🥂

"Women don’t need special treatment in crypto.
They need spaces where they’re not treated like outsiders.”
This comes from @DariaStrategy, an incredible SheFi chapter lead in Warsaw and Ukraine, and her recent reflection cuts right to the heart of why SheFi exists.
Daria isn’t someone who identifies with the stereotypes often projected onto women in tech.
She doesn’t package femininity. She doesn’t believe in hiring quotas or gender tokenism. She isn’t looking for crypto to cater to her.
What she does believe in is simple: A crypto ecosystem where everyone feels welcome and able to learn. Events not built exclusively with men in mind.
Communities where women can ask questions without feeling judged. Opportunities that reflect ability, not culture.
Her perspective is a reminder that there is no single way to be a woman in Web3. You don’t have to be “girly.” You don’t have to be inexperienced. You don’t have to fit a mold.
You just deserve access.
This is what SheFi is building.
Real education. Real community. Real pathways for women to participate fully and confidently in decentralized tech and finance.
Daria sees it every day in Warsaw and Ukraine: when women feel safe, supported and seen, they don’t just enter the space. They reshape it.
And the entire ecosystem benefits.
If you want to learn with a community built for you, SheFi Season 16 is now open for signups.
If you're in Warsaw on December 10, join our friends!

the value of @shefiorg for Ukrainian women 🎯
I’m not a “girly girl” who packages femininity as a product, and I’m not someone who needs to learn the basics of crypto.
I don’t believe specialists should be evaluated by their gender (or by gender neutrality) nor should employers be forced to hire to satisfy policies.
I don’t buy into esotericism or anything like that.
At the same time, I dislike how parts of crypto can make women feel unwelcome, with too many events designed with men in mind.
What I want is for people of all genders to have fun and learn from one another.
I want events where everyone feels welcome and safe, and where people aren’t afraid to ask questions.
@maggielove_ and the @shefiorg team have helped shift crypto’s narrative away from being a male-only industry.
As a SheFi chapter lead at @SheFi_Warsaw and @SheFi_Ukraine, I see the value of these efforts. They go far beyond onboarding women into decentralized tech and finance; they create opportunities to make an impact in the global market.
You can love SheFi or hate it, but you can’t ignore it.
Our sisters in Warsaw are gathering for the Christmas edition of @shefiorg 🎄 Sign up for the event if you're there on December 10!

why CEE talent is a smart bet for web3 and tech companies:
- rigorous technical education prepares you for complex systems
- high English proficiency and culture fit
- cost efficiency
- timezone overlap with US & Asia
we grew up in environments where nothing was handed to us; there is no old money aka old system mentality
- we know how to build with limited resources
- we're used to navigating uncertainty (if the full-scale war can be considered "uncertainty")
- we don't need perfect conditions or the right vibes to deliver
the infrastructure is also here: remote work, strong tech communities, proven track record
so why don't you look east from Berlin?
