Had a wonderful visit to Cimarron-Memorial High School and toured the new Pre-K space. CMHS is accepting applications now! Please share with anyone looking for a Pre-K option.

Once upon a time, this group of Nevada women made up the first majority woman legislature in the country. I’ll forever be proud to have been one of them. Celebrating all the NV women trailblazing their way through history! #womenshistorymonth

AB428 created the Teacher Academy College Pathway Program, so that we don’t see over 1.000 educator vacancies each year in @ClarkCountySch but we are not seeing implementation of this program by #CCSD or @NVStateEd. @rociohzz

CCEA proudly endorses Assemblywoman @SheaBackusEsq for Assembly District 37. A longtime CCEA ally, Shea sponsored a critical piece of legislation last session to create a Nevada teacher pipeline, a long term solution to addressing the high educator vacancies facing Clark County. In her role as Vice Chair of Ways and Means, Shea oversaw the largest investment into k-12 education in the state's history.

In celebration of Indigenous Peoples' Day, UNLV Diversity Initiatives, Ciesla Foundation, San Manuel Gaming & Hospitality Authority & @Palms hosted a screening of Imagining the Indian. Panel with my colleague @HowardWattsNV was well done.
The coming together of teachers, parents and students on Saturday to support locking down a contract - including a much needed educator pay raise - was incredible! Thank you @cceanv for an inspiring event.
