The issue here is what I call "false comparativism" that infects the entire British system, whereby "we need to be a modern country like other countries" is used to justify practices no other country has ever had.

The WMO should stick to meteorology instead of making false statements about climate change. This graph alone clearly shows that CO2 was much much higher in the past than it is today. In fact, we are in a CO2 famine.
Concentrations of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide in our atmosphere are higher than ever before.
The WMO Greenhouse Gas Bulletin reports on the amount of gas that accumulates in the atmosphere, not new annual emissions.

Healey on Channel 4 saying he will not cut the welfare bill in this Parliament.
So, start demanding the truth - when are they calling the early general election ?

Yeah no shit. It's fucking obvious that it will fuck businesses over. All because the government won't just raise the tax thresholds or help businesses in any meaningful way

Said this the other day, it does not take Einstein to work that out, it’s only the Labour government who have not got an ounce of business sense between them.

Some of us who work in HR with small businesses have been saying that for some time.
If small businesses are the backbone of the country we have a broken back.
More redundancies on the way.

This is a damming assessment & with the NI increase, clearly demonstrates how economic illiterate this Govt has become.

BREAKING
The OBR suggests that successive increases in the national living wage and the employment rights act will hit jobs
It says the employment right act will have a ‘negative economic impact’ and hit businesses through ‘increased uncertainty, lost flexibility and higher Labour related costs’
It says that these will ‘more than offset’ any potential increase in productivity

" There will be a reduction in the benefit bill....before the next election " " This position is unsustainable " " We will do it in a Labour way "
BUT NOW Treasury changing their tune, saying CX did not promise to cut........WOW ....what does " reduction " mean other than a cut !!?
OR another thought, leaves the door open for GE next year, which means they definitely won't cut welfare.
Another point, missed by political interviewers today, the OBR pointed out that Labour policy is adding to NEETS & other forms of unemployment, you could say that is the " Labour way " total lack of understanding how businesses operate.

Because they need their votes. Looks like Labour have secured 10,000 more votes too, now that our useless government has helped Poundland collapse!

The Treasury now say that the Chancellor was not, in fact, promising to cut the benefit bill by the next election. Interesting that they prefer the story “Government won’t cut benefits bill by the election” to the story “Government will …”

As opposed to taking us back to the 1970s with some sort of idealistic Robin Hood politics when there is a global crisis going on…
Yeah, you’re nailing it .. we all overwhelmed by the fresh hope … 🤥
