Here is a thread on 'work' i have done over some time 🧵
This will be updated regularly when necessary
Today was the first time i saw Hamburger's Louis Lemke (17, left wing-back) and the initial impression i got of him:
• Tenacious out of possession
• Attack-minded in possession
An interesting prospect. I look forward to seeing more of him during the season
Chelsea's shape is causing so many issues for Charlton. On one side, you have Carpenter holding the width down the right to stretch the opponent horizontally whilst on the left they have multiple bodies occupying inside left/wide left channels with the overload overwhelming Charlton
But within the box, there have been many mistakes from Charlton which have been exploited every single time by Chelsea. This will only get worse for Charlton
That's an unbelievable finish from Haugen!
What's even better is the anticipation of the back pass and then the commitment to beat the keeper to the ball and then go around to squeeze it in. Unbelievable 👏
I really enjoy the way Adam Markhiev makes Nürnberg tick, game after game after game
His ball retention abilities are excellent. Keeps it simple when it needs to be simple (slowing tempo, playing ball to the sides to keep control etc) but also knows when the risk is needed to progress up the pitch (higher tempo, varying floor and air passes)
Solid appointment this
Sheffield Wednesday Football Club can confirm that an agreement was reached last night for Dave Challinor to become the club's new First-Team Manager.
The 51-year-old will be in attendance at today's fixture against Blackpool at Hillsborough.
The club looks forward to formally introducing Dave to supporters on Monday, when further details of the appointment will be announced.
His short distance acceleration to get away from an opponent could be a good trait!
58' there, picks up ball in the centre of the pitch and bursts away from the opponent nearby into space ahead and plays the ball in behind for Toure. Goal got ruled out for offside
I like what Akol Akon bas shown on the left wing for Sydney FC
Whenever he receives the ball, he is seeking to make something happen and take on an opponent which is fantastic to see. Its the attitude you want from a wide player
When they have possesion, Machida Zelvia are a fun team to watch
Just seeing the different movements the players use to create space in order to attack is brilliant. Dynamic movements
Such a clean header from Shiogai, off the forehead!
Defending from Freiburg really poor there though, someone who was responsible for him switched off and the goalkeeper wasn't sharp to come off the line and collect from the delivery
Delhi throwing points away from a winning position again..... They could've done more to attack the spaces that Goa were leaving behind
Goa's shooting efficiency wasn't great, until it really mattered at the end. A draw is probably a fair outcome for both
🇯🇵 Apparently Anthony Motosuna (17) is primarily a centre-back. For Kashima Antlers against Pohang Steelers in the AFC Champions League, he played as a midfielder and he was a standout for me!
For such a young player, his physical presence in duels was evident. He had fearless and confident attitude going into ground and aerial duels with the feeling he will win the battles to regain the ball for his team
With the ball, his technical skill under pressure was immense. Even whilst under pressure in small spaces with 2 or 3 opponents around him, he was composed to keep the ball close to his feet and under control before finding an escape route through powerful driving or seeking a gap to thread a pass into
Looks like a promising player
