Remembering 16-year-old Catholic civilian Anne Magee on her 50th Anniversary.
Murdered by the UDA/UFF in a gun attack they carried out on the shop she worked in on Manor Street.
Her family have campaigned for Truth, Justice & Accountability in a dignified manner for many years.

Arlene, are you absolutely sure you want to start listing terrorists and their associations? Because there’s an awful lot of history you seem to be a little forgetful, especially as it comes to orange order
Let’s start with Harold Gracey, he was a senior Portadown Orangeman who wrote to the UVF leader Billy Wright thanking him for his support during Drumcree. Gracey also spotted at a rally supporting Wright. The same Billy Wright whose UVF unit was responsible for the sectarian murder of Michael McGoldrick, remember?
Then there’s Roy Barwise, John Irwin and Alan Clair, Liverpool Orangemen convicted of UVF membership and terrorist-related weapons offences. The courts heard how Orange lodges were used as cover for UVF activities, remember?
Or Mervyn and Paul Armstrong, members of an Antrim Orange lodge, convicted of offences connected to the loyalist Orange Volunteers. Their continued membership became a public controversy, remember?
And while we’re discussing terrorism, perhaps you’d like to address the decades of UVF and UDA flags flying across loyalist communities? The paramilitary murals, commemorations, memorials and annual displays honouring men responsible for murdering innocent Catholics and Protestants?
Remember Joe Bratty and Raymond Elder? UDA members commemorated in loyalist parades, despite their links to some of the most appalling sectarian violence of the Troubles, including the Sean Graham bookmakers massacre.
I stopped at the above names, but there are hundreds, so spare is the cleansing of the sectarian orange order
Every year, communities across the North have had to witness displays celebrating or glorifying loyalist paramilitary organisations. Yet apparently we’re supposed to believe that historical associations with terrorism are a uniquely nationalist problem, well according to you anyways
Now, does any of that make every Orangeman a terrorist? Absolutely not. Nor does every loyalist paramilitary flag represent the Orange Order. But the same basic fairness must apply to the Garvaghy Road residents.
Their rights and legitimate concerns don’t disappear because you can identify convicted republicans associated with their protest.
Surely tou can’t condemn an entire nationalist community by association while conveniently overlooking the documented involvement of individual Orangemen in loyalist terrorism and the decades of public paramilitary glorification within loyalist communities and more importantly, the orange order
If we’re going to have a serious conversation about terrorism, Arlene, then let’s have one that includes the UVF, UDA, LVF and their victims
You don’t get to use the victims of republican violence as a political weapon while treating the victims of loyalist violence as an inconvenient footnote.
Do better

In all the joy and relief this evening don't forget that not one MLA nor their only MP from .@allianceparty stood with the residents of the Garvaghy Road but I'm sure they'll release some lovely worded statement on the matter.

10 Catholic churches were set on fire on 2 July 1998.
In the following week there were 137 petrol-bomb attacks on Catholic or "mixed" homes
In the early hours of 12th July 1998 one of those petrol bomb attacks resulted in the death of the 3 Quinn children
You see no connection??
Replying to @ArnoldCarton
Throwing in the Quinn kids only highlights you for what you are.
Nothing whatsoever to do with Drumcree.
An urban myth.
The residents of the Garvaghy Road endured years of profound trauma, fear, and disruption during the height of the parading conflicts in the 1990s. @Johnny_Marr No going back, not now, not ever!
