SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026) Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love. We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway. America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire. His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen. Ian McKellen 29 October 2026 Photo: University of Huddersfield

His contribution to Elder Scrolls and Castlevania will always be treasured, it was always surreal to hear his voice in games.

I didn't even know he was still there due to how low-key he'd been, but it'll be sad to see him go nevertheless. I hate how Turn 10 has turned into a sub-Playground studio instead of two great studios working together like before. Hopefully, one day, Motorsport will be revived.
Dan Greenawalt is departing as the head of Turn 10 Studios after 27 years Playground Games studio head Trevor Williams revealed the news in a recent internal memo. “Dan Greenawalt has decided that this is the right time for him to retire from Microsoft,” says Williams. Greenawalt will stay on as an adviser to Williams and the newly appointed Playground Games chief operating officer, Michel Bastien, “while he transitions to his next phase.” Here’s part of Williams’ memo about Greenawalt: “It’s hard to overstate Dan’s impact over the past 27 years. From shipping Project Gotham Racing on the original XBOX in 2001 to leading the creation of Forza, founding Turn 10 Studios and appearing so many times on our E3 stage, usually making a dramatic entrance with a supercar in tow – and so much more – we owe tremendous thanks and gratitude to Dan. On behalf of both teams, I would like to thank Dan for his leadership, his support, and his partnership. I wish him well for whatever comes next.” The remainder of the studio is now called 'Playground Games Redmond' to work now on Forza Horizon and Fable via: Tom Warren theverge.com/tech/1022023/mi…

So I thought my XBO version would just update, but you have to download the "Next gen update" title. Not the best way to go about it, since I wanted to transfer my save and also have an easier path, but for those wondering there you go.
The Metro is calling... experience the games that started it all in a new light. METRO 2033 Redux & METRO Last Light Redux Next-Gen Update is out now! Find out more about what's changed: deepsilver.com/games/metro20… #METRO2033 #METROLastLight #METRORedux

Man... the more I read about Cyberpunk2020 lore and stuff, the more I wish Cyberpunk Orion & future sequels would be as deep hardcore as all that tabletop goodness. (Exotics, bodysculpting, poser gangs, mech suits etc...) Still love Cyberpunk2077 but so much untapped potential

It's so ridiculous that Resonance of Fate was never ported to Xbox after the 360, nor was it even given a chance to be backwards compatible. Frigging Tri-Ace man.

Less decline on hopefully the road to more positive effects for the division in the future. Hardware wise, they just have to stick it out with the users they have & focus on retention & monetizing them via the store. A flexible steam like Xbox OS is really their key to growth.
In Q1, XBOX revenue declined 2% YoY, compared with a 10% decline a quarter ago, while our accountability margin improved. Minecraft and WoW Forever set records, Call of Duty had its most acclaimed release in more than a decade, and our PC platform revenue grew double digits. Console sales remain constrained by supply, with more demand than consoles available. We’re working to get more consoles into players’ hands, including through our expanded refurbishment program. We’re making progress, with a lot more work ahead.

Hmm, some good points there.
I understand the sentiment, but as a huge Ninja Gaiden fan. I can honestly say No, this series does not deserve more sales because in order to get sales you need to make consistent and quality choices for the consumer when selling your product. Ninja Gaiden as a Franchise has been Heavily mismanaged for the majority of it's existence. Lets take things from the start. Early NG 2D was fine there was the OG Arcade game, the NES trilogy, and a bunch of other NG games on different platforms. That's all well and good, but what happened in the next Gen? People got SNES NG Trilogy, a repackaging of the NES games on the SNES in 1995, and that's it for that entire generation. For 8 years Ryu Hayabusa was only a relevant character in the Gaming mainstream because he was in Dead Or Alive. There were no actual Ninja Gaiden games grom 1992- 2004 Luckily NG 2004 was a masterpiece so the series was able to return in a big way, hitting the ground running. But what happens after that? Ninja Gaiden II (360) doesn't get to be properly polished because the Dev Team got screwed out of their promise the bonuses for their prior work on DoA and they rightfully left. Ninja Gaiden 2004 gets repackage twice with NG Black, and NG Sigma. NGII Gets Repackaged with Sigma 2. The new team in charge of the Franchise puts out Ninja Gaiden 3 vanilla which is half baked and it kills the positive reputation of the Franchise, only to repackge it with NG3 Razor's Edge the version of the game that should have released in the first place. Then Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z is made by Spark Unlimited a dev team that's never made an melee action game before, so as much as they tried they didn't have the experience to make a game that meets the bar of quality that Ninja Gaiden is supposed to be at. Then the franchise goes on Ice for 7 years, and the NG Master Collection releases repackaging these games AGAIN. After that they release Ninja Gaiden II Black repackaging a game A-fucking-gain, and then they finally release Ragebound and NG4 after 11 years of no new games. outside of Vanilla NG3 and Yaiba which have particularly bad receptions, I'm not even mentioning how all these variations of games were received by the community. This is a SHIT way to run a franchise. It's no wonder people don't buy these games, the people who own this franchise don't know how to fucking sell these games, because they fucking over the guys who were doing the best job at selling them back in 2008.
