Cyberpunk 2077 is on a full cart. That port has now made a profit for CDPR, and they credit having an actual physical release as a big factor.

Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] and now this. Square please we buying your physical editions cause we want the entire game to be on disc. You literally did two disc releases for Remake/Rebirth for additional game data but can't for this?? This is the finale bruh. Disappointed.

They used to be proud of their physical editions. On 2 discs was big deal.
Your fans have always paid the prices to support your physical products. You still have till April to do this right.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation will come on a disc but sadly the full game will not be on it and it will require an additional download to play on PS5 and Xbox.

If buying digital games is “obviously” not owning, then why is it the same price as physical games, not less?🚀
A disc can:
✅Be taken anywhere in the world
✅Not tied to an account
✅Can be resold/traded
✅Mostly doesn’t rely on the internet
✅Isn’t region locked
✅Can be found in wide range of prices
✅The best way to preserve media
So again, if a digital-only game is “a license”, then maybe price those at $30-40 since the convenience and safety of having a disc is worth far more.

A message to Sony and Playstation from me, a lifetime fan:
PS1 was the first console I ever had for myself, and I have loved and played on every playstation console and handheld.
Through my years, I have over 700 games across all ps platforms and over 300 platinum trophies. I buy and play games, because Playstation is my favorite place to play ä.
Please Sony, all I ask for you is to care. To care about the fans like me who love physical media. It's the feeling of having physical discs that I can't describe. Putting into the PlayStation and playing it, no better feeling
As a long time fan, all I ask is that you care. The goodwill I once had is getting smaller by the day and the company that was innovative, fun and made the games I love is not the same anymore.
If you have any heart left, please show that you care. That's all fans like me ask you to do.
