This is so strong and clear.
You can't help but notice that if this was in the UK context - you wouldn't be able to get a single one of these sentences out without a journalist barracking the person saying it constantly.
The UK media is in quite a state.
I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points.

Ben, meanwhile, spent his uni days climbing the greasy pole of the debating society. While president, he invited Marine Le Pen of the radically antisemitic National Front to speak. Weren't so concerned about promoting Jewish students' safety then, were you, Ben?

Fun fact: Ben Kentish and I knew each other at university, where I served as a rep for the Jewish society, encouraging less religious Jews to join the J-Soc, which was quite politically and religiously conservative at the time. 1/2

Our case was interrupted over 100 times. The government was not interrupted once.
I didn't hold high hopes for the British 'justice' system, but I did expect to at least have our case heard.
No matter what, we will keep fighting for actual justice to prevail.
People don't want "to hold water companies to account", they want them nationalised to stop a third of their bills being drained away on private profits as a reward for extreme incompetence!
The privatisation of water has failed our communities.
Household bills are set to rise by more than 40%, after years of underinvestment while shareholders and executives have continued to benefit.
I've long called for elected Mayors to have greater powers to hold water companies to account, influence their operations and ensure money raised through fines goes back into the communities affected by sewage pollution.
Through our new regional water council, we'll keep pushing for Yorkshire Water to put people first, protect our rivers and deliver a greener, more affordable future for West Yorkshire. 💧

Jon Stewart on Chuck Schumer: “Someone has to meet this moment. You have an opportunity to actually govern. One of the first things you need to do is remove that system of seniority from Democratic politics. It’s a bullshit system and it needs to go. Chuck Schumer fought tooth and nail against half of these fucking people. He does not understand the urgency of the moment and what the future demands”

Imperial tools have a habit of coming home. Fingerprinting was developed into a system of colonial control in British India before reaching Scotland Yard.
Today, migrants provide the pretext for everything from ending our human rights to expanding facial recognition surveillance.
Our class should recognise the danger.
A state, increasingly dominated by the wealthy & corporate interest, handed greater powers over those with the fewest rights, will rarely stop there.
Defending migrant rights is just as much about defending our own.

NEW poll: A supermajority of Jewish Americans believe Israeli & AIPAC actions increase antisemitism.
80% say Israel’s actions in Gaza & the West Bank increase antisemitism in the US.
66% say AIPAC’s campaign spending against candidates critical of Israel increases antisemitism.

A bunch of us have been saying this is a winning message since 2015 - after being yelled at repeatedly by some of the biggest Dem party losers in centuries we tried it one time and had our most successful election since Watergate

this was the catalyst. when the party bosses scoffed at bernie, he kept pushing. i saw these rallies firsthand. ppl were looking for answers to what had taken place in 24. bernie became the true leader of the party. his impact is felt w his rhetoric echoing through the most moderate campaigns this past year.

MSNOW: What is your message now to Jewish voters nationally and what you will do to protect them?
Abdul El-Sayed: I’m committed to Jewish safety, and we are united against discrimination. The U.S. spends billions to carry out genocide and apartheid against Palestinians. The genocide in Gaza with our complicity is continuing right now. Nobody wants to talk about that.

Spot on and the UK government needs to go much bigger to tackle the cost of living crisis if it wants to avoid a similar backlash.
Also the public understands that it’s obscene for billionaire wealth to grow while most struggle to pay the bills. Tax the rich to cut bills now.

every step of the way, bernie drove substantive stakes into the ground. he demanded changes in the 2016 platform. forced concessions through the 2020 task forces. he is never satisfied and he does not rest. and, most importantly, he’s right and he’s been right for a long time.
Bernie Sanders lost the fight in 2016. A decade later, he won the war. politi.co/4ekGIS5

Hi Ben, this is a truly disgusting (and cowardly) tweet. So glad I have spent the past year turning down your repeated invites to appear on your show.
For the record, this is a Jewish journalist interviewing the Jewish *author* of the IHRA antisemitism definition for Zeteo, and it is Stern himself who thinks it’s a mistake to use the IHRA definition in the way the government is.
But since you can’t engage with the substance of any of this, you resort to smear by insinuation.

When you vilify, smear and demonise good people who refuse to let your hate define them, other good people don't stand by.
They stand up and vote for hope over fear.
Congratulations @AbdulElSayed 🎉
